This was remarkable. Cellared perfectly this has developed wonderful complexity. Honey apricot vanilla wood. I could not believe how beautiful it drank. Interestingly it was not uncorked because i used a Coravin. So it opened only in the glass. It was lovely.

Golden straw color; aged honey nose with apple, almost cidery, telltale white flowers; waxy texture on the palate, rich though some acid to bring this back in balance; not a real fan of CdP blanc but this was ok.

Very nice white. Has an incredible sweetness to the fruit, that is accompanied by a lovely elegance and rusticity at the same time. I don't know what it costs, but it's one to put away for a few years. I really liked this.

Promise unfulfilled- Beaucastel & Chave verticals with Jonathan Dinh. (Park Avenue Cafe.): Ripe fruit on the nose with just a touch of alcohol showing. Flowery with apples and spice. Not as blowsy as I usually find white Châteauneufs and though fairly well contained, there is a touch of alcohol showing on the finish. With a few hours air the wine came together nicely, taking on a nice creamy texture. Well made, but I just don't particularly like whites from the South, finding them a bit too ripe/alcoholic and needing more acidity. B+.

Still lovely. Apple cinnamon and some darker stone as well. Drink now though.

Still drinking beautifully
Honey straw some citrus. Smooth. Elegant. No syrup. Surprising at this age.

A superior white CDP, but just on the edge of the window.
