Basic ordinary California Pinot noir: not super fruity, not super minerally, not super astringent, not super dry. In my opinion, not worth a repeat performance.

Medium-deep red ruby in color. Forward, attractive & aromatic nose of ripe fruit aromas of red cherries, strawberries & raspberries with overtones of exotic spices of allspice & cloves, floral notes, cola notes, earthy, herbs & minerals in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe red fruit flavors of sweet cherries, strawberries & tart cranberries with spices, earthiness, cherry-cola & minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present and has some limited potential for continued development with an additional year or two of further aging.

Very solid with good a concentration of ripe blue and black berries balanced by grippy tannins. Wine needs some more time to develop into an even better wine with a broader flavor profile.

Cambria's Bench Break is so damn consistent. Big bing cherry mouthfeel and flavor, some prune and plum. Not much on the nose except early after opening. It's just a trustworthy and enjoyable pour. It does vary thru vintages and this 2012 is one of the good ones along with 2013. I don't know how this would fare with more bottle age since I usually like my Cambria PN after 3-4 years never much longer. They seemed to be designed that way. Btw it did lose a bit with a second night leftover pour.

Spicy, candied cherry on the palette...a bit of earthy nose. Very light bodied, not to sweet due to the spiciness. Cambrian is always consistent with Bench break. This vintage is good to go right now, won't do much more in the bottle if it's in your cellar.
