  • Incredible how well this wine has held up. This is now soft and smooth around the edges, maturing with tertiary notes of mushrooms and underbrush underneath the fine strawberry marks. It’s a wonderful wine to drink right now and while I’m sure it will stay in the window for some years, It won’t improve from here. This bottle reminds me of a great visit I had with Jean Marc Morey in his cellars in 2010.

  • Medium red color. Gorgeously perfumed nose of red garden fruit and white pepper. Great purity of fruit an precision as usual for JM Morey. The concentration of fruit (strawberry and raspberry) is amazing and yet this wine is subtle, elegant, feminine. There's good grip here. The tannins are still very much present suggesting that this wine will be better in 5+ years. There's certainly enough fruit to keep it going for longer than that. Outstanding wine.

  • DAWGS December 2008 (Mi Piaci's in Addison, TX): WIML92

Tasted December 17, 2008 at an offline.

Opened and glass decanted about an hour before serving. Garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of leather, white pepper, briar patch and mixed black fruit. Flavors of black cherries, black berries and a dash of bitters on the medium to long finish. Medium to bright acidity, medium to firm tannins, medium body. Hold. Needs lots more time in bottle, maybe another 5-7 years before opening your first bottle. Well call it WIML92 for the moment but that's probably not fair since it's so young.

  • straberry vanilla nose, with flowers, ruby fruit palate follwed by truffles. this wine needs at least five years, and will probably last another 15. Light to medim body, more risotto and fowl, than red meat. QPR B+.
