Good typicity. Light on its feet, charming, simple. Strawberries, cranberries, herbs. Very light, no discernible tannin, good acidity. Food friendly. Drink up.

Bright, fresh & simple. Over ripe strawberries, seeds and all, swimming in cranberry cocktail drink garnished with mint and basal. Light body, watery texture, good acid and no tannin to speak of.
Nice charming little wine, if simple and a little washed out, that's ready to go. Hard to justify the price.

Chose this wine as "the red" to accompany grilled Ahi tuna with asian seasonings and was pleased with the pairing. Bright, raspberry/ strawberry notes. Served chilled.

Another fun, unique, and tasty wine from A-R. More French than California. Pale garnet color. Light body. Fruity cherry strawberry flavors, with pronounced acidity. Might benefit from a slight chilling. Easy to drink. Good QPR.

More fruit forward and acidic than I expected, especially compared to the Walter Scott Gamay and some Beaujolais I’ve had recently. At one point, it tasted like over ripe dried cherries which is not what I expect from Gamay. It seemed to settle down a bit, but not enough for me. Not sure if this is a vintage issue or their style.

christmas dinner (at our home): Served at our Swedish style Christmas dinner, this beautiful gamay noir from California (Barsotti vineyard and Witters Vineyard, both in El Dorado county, in part made using carbonic maceration) was all that I could hope for. Had worried about the price tag, but as I love the wines from this producer I put that out of my mind.
Bright and fruity, with structure mostly in the form of vibrant acidity, and mild tannins sweetly infused like a vanilla stem rather than tea/cherry pit bitter. Dry and refreshing finish with a lot of tangy deliciousness and very easy to drink.
Has some nice sweet fruity complexity without going into the more darkly colored, heavily extracted gamay territory, and it just paired really well with all the sausages, hams, salamis, meatballs and with the Christmas spices used such as nutmeg, all spice, ginger, Szechuan peppers etc.
Brilliant and can really recommend this.

Simple but incredibly delicious with cherry and raspberry juice flavors. Great with Indian food and could make a good thanksgiving wine as well. Nice unfiltered texture and hazy color.

Decanted. Very young. Give it at least a year. Seems to be missing some of the complexity of past vintages, but time will tell. Mid-weight, Mid+ acidity. 12.5%

Pale ruby. Aromas of strawberry, cranberry, and slightly green, leafy scent. Light bodied with red berry fruit and high acid. Worked well for our party to share at brunch with a variety of plates. 12.5% ABV.

A very pretty, pale, red rose petal in the glass. Ripe strawberry and a twang of bramble-leaf with a touch of something nougat on the end. I found a waft of something savory and shiitake-esque on the nose along with some fresh crushed earth. The acid is very fresh if not on the medium end of the spectrum. The finish is delicate, but present. The fruit is intriguing and bright. I drank this with some spicy pork and beans and it was an excellent pairing.

Dinner with Max (Pizzeria Delfina, Burlingame): Light ruby; aromatic, red berry fruit, slight leafy; palate is light bodied, red fruit, high acid; short-medium finish. Excellent food wine, very easy to drink. 88

Tasting, brief note. Lighter styled red cherry and berry with spice hints. Moderate ripeness and depth, but still nicely enjoyable.

Very nice Gamay. Lots of fruit up front, a hint of funk but not too much. Light in the mouth with good acidity, bit not too sour. Very pleasant.

True Gamay - stone cherry nose. Rounder style. Slightly cloudy. Not typical. Tartness is there, not the soft, gentle Gamay. Tasty and unusual.
