From 75cl screwcap, opened but not decanted 2 hours. Classy struck match and citrus scent; bright, bone dry entry; mid-palate more fruity and—sigh—typically Silvaner-like than I'd hoped. I liked this more 2 years ago when it was just bursting with energy, but it is still very good now. 90P

From 75cl screwcap, opened but not decanted 1 hour, continued to improve until final drop. We disagreed about the nose: I thought it was closed, but my husband found it expressive. Anyway, there's melon, apple and smoke in there. Initially seemed a touch sweet, even grape-juice-like on the entry, and a tad spritzy on the mid-palate. But it opened up in the glass to show immense minerality, and in every sense lost its puppy fat. A weighty, bone–dry wine in perfect, knife-edge balance between succulence, acidic levity and (especially on the long finish) shimmering, resonant crushed stones. Wonderful now with enough air, no hurry. Perfect match with rich white asparagus risotto. 91-92P

Merry Silvaner Christmas! This rules. Floral, earthy, mineral... lovely aromas of melon, crunchy white peach, asian pear, chalk dust, steel cut oats, spring flowers.... something a little savory/umami too. Zippy and mineral on the palate, with pithy and fruit skin nuances, and a long stoney finish reverberating with hints of fresh flowers and green fruits. Very dry, very fun. Note to self: drink more Silvaner.
Holds up beautifully through day 2 and 3. An underripe pineapple note comes through and the mineral notes are more intense. Killer stuff.

Screw cap. Light lemon colour. Floral notes, citrus, green fruit, stone fruit, apricot pit, oranges, buttery notes, smoke and good minerality, with some residual CO2, lively acidity and very good length. Medium-bodied and quite balanced despite of its youth. Good, buttery texture. Great concentration. Benchmark Sylvaner!

One last Football Weekend at Franken; 5/17/2019-5/19/2019: Next try of their GG, 13,5% ABV, so this is rich in fruit and fullbodied on the midpalae, for me today a little too much of everything, lacking a bit elegance, maybe will improve with more mature, I am sure, the good acid in the finish will help, *(**+)-?
