Good, classic. Tannins are a little overwhelming. A little vegetal, also a grapey sweetness. Good food wine, less enjoyable on its own. But good SPR for sure and may improve in a few years.

A benchmark for inexpensive Bordeaux that happens, at least in my opinion, to be ennobled by a near 20 year commitment to biodynamic practices. But let's not devolve into a pointless "good for its kind" debate, or even get hung up on the critics' opinions that 2016 is another vintage of the century in Bordeaux, which seems to be the case at least once or twice a decade anymore.
Here we have a pretty, dark, not quite opaque red color. An effusive nose of red and black berries, fresh turned earth, minerals, and pleasant leafy character. It smells juicy and primary like something you could happily drink out of a ladle. Medium bodied, well balanced, plenty of that attractive fruit, a dusting of cocoa powder and a certain seeming cab franc quality (or is it merlot) imparting a leafy edge to the competent, tart and mildly drying and tannic finish.
To summarize: refreshing, drinkable, mild complexity, 13% ABV, a low price and all biodynamic. What's not to like?

Meh. Drinkable, but a little vegetal and not a lot of depth. Some nice floral notes that faded after a couple of hours. Not a lot of fruit in there.

On the nose some tobacco, black currant. Some coffee. In the mouth dry. Same taste as aromas. Some bitterness.

Red fruited and fresh, but somewhat short. Better on day 2.

Tonight this just seems vegetal and peppery. Very tannic. A little bit of nice cab franc floral flavors. Overall not that drinkable.

Plummy and classic character but not too much impact, here. Herbal palate.

Soft ruby red with intense aromas of red fruit, black berries as well as leather. Smooth in texture with soft tannins and superbly balanced.
