Our first red of the night, paired with sausage paella. Dark purple and opaque, with solid legs. Nose of blackberries and currents. Rich on the palate with an unmistakable ZING of acidity that softened after 15 minutes in glass. Very enjoyable - even more so after 10 minutes.

Fruit driven Pinot noir. Lots of berries here, but too extracted for my taste, followed by kahlua and overtones of pepper and bitter orange jam. A bit disappointing.

I enjoyed this. Drinking beautifully now. Smooth but with a tiny amount of tannin providing some grip. Red and some black fruit and well balanced. Probably has another 3-5 years to go.

This wine has filled out beautifully. It was a perfect pairing with roast chicken and mushroom risotto. Rich, full-bodied thanks to its age. Absolutely luscious.

Nose: spicy but subdued. Palate: Rich, ripe fruit, blueberry/raspberry. A bit hot (14.6%), big, muscular, great acid, medium oak, wood spice, vanilla, long finish.

Very nice after 30 minutes of air. In contrast to the Burghound review, fruit is still intense and the early age roughness is gone. He was concerned that it might go the other way. It is notably better than it was a year ago. Not yet on the way down. Wish I had more.

My only bottle and this was great from start to finish. Great nose and once it opened up it showed some nice elegance. I got smooth tannins, nice acidity and cherry and raspberry notes on the finish. Comes in with a surprisingly high ABV but doesn’t show it on the palate. Really nicely integrated. Should have purchased more. If you have them you can drink now but it appears to have plenty of time

A little hot on the nose at first but it settles into liquorice, chocolate and liqueur. Mouth is just hard to put down. Cherry, cola, rich and full, with some lead on the finish. It sounds trashy but it comes together and is a lot of fun to drink.

Very nice indeed. Deep, dark color, with moderately intense fruit. Notes of cranberry and black cherry. Slightly sour in a very good way that fits, not overly acidic nor thin. A real pleasure even upon opening and evolved nicely over the following couple of days.

Concentrated red fruit (raspberry, cranberry), high acidity, slightly elevated ABV. My bottle had almost a spritz to it -- maybe flawed? Still enjoyable and decent QPR at the discounted price from K&L.

Fuller-bodied than what I would have anticipated from a cool-region Pinot. The professional reviews, however, did indicate that. Very easy to drink.
3/16/2022: The latest bottle was simply outstanding, lastly nearly a week in a carafe that was sitting on the kitchen counter. It might have even improved in that time! Tasting more and more like a CA Pinot.
Medium/Medium-light ruby color. Offering up strawberry, cherry, pepper, mushroom, and tobacco. Creamy texture, fine-grained tannins, with juicy red fruit and earthy flavors.

Unfortunately the last bottle of the 2016 vintage in my cellar. Still have a few bottles of the 2017 vintage.

Raspberry and cherry, with a touch of spice. Very ripe fruit at first, but settled down with air.

Light/medium bodied. Raspberry/strawberry rubarb fruit with some baking spice. Nice acidity. Fits the profile of an Anderson Valley Pinot. Enjoyed it.

Pretty balanced, good concentration for a Pinot, some acidity but not too pronounced. Good value at $25 plus tax from K&L.
