After previously drinking the Paradigm Cab Sauv and loving it I was looking forward to their Cab Franc. Very nice although I was hoping for more. Normally a Cab Franc is very aromatic but the nose was understated. Fruits were slightly muted, maybe the wine is in a transitional phase. Blackberry, blueberry, earthy, oak. Still, well made and balanced.

In der Nase viel Spannung, Würze, Brombeere, Malz alles sehr dunkel. Extrem ernsthaft am Gaumen, viel Spannung, Gerbstoff, Dicht zum Beißen. Super Länge, viel Speichelfluss. Baut im Glas immer weiter aus. Toller Wein mit Potential nach oben.

Really enjoyed this wine. Ripe fruit on the nose with solid blueberry and plum. Soft mouthfeel. Probably would have continued to age for another 8-10 years but I couldn’t resist. I could see it getting another point or two better with a little more age. Finish was a little cut off but that started to go away after it was open for a few hours.
In keeping with tradition, Heidi Barrett wines never fail to disappoint.

Decanted for an hour before I tried it. Needs that much time at a minimum right now, but then things get really good. Dusty, chalky tannins that are smooth and well balanced with the mildly saline backbone and strong acidity. Pairs well with a goat milk blue cheese as a way to highlight the fruit. So much depth, just gets better as it opens up. Clearly too young to drink regularly yet, just wanted to see how it was right now. It's great, going to get even better.
