Color: medium ruby. Nose: light earth, faded fast. Body:light, balanced acidity;tannins gone. Fruit:faint at first, then gone. After an hour of airtime:no nose or fruit left. It had been stored at 55 since purchase. Only bottle I had so no comparison. I wish I'd tried it a couple of years ago.

PnP, consumed over 2 hours. Appearance: Clear, medium ruby. Nose: Clean, medium intensity with developing aromas of black raspberry, mulberry, cranberry, black pepper, and mint. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium- tannin, medium intensity, medium alcohol, medium body with flavors of cranberry, mulberry, black pepper, and mint with a medium finish. Overall a very good wine excelling in balance and complexity.
Last of 3 bottles, consistent over all 3 tastings.

My wife didn't like this and quickly moved on. I felt that there was a good wine fighting to get out and so gave it a little more time, though the fight did not have a conclusive outcome. This is an unruly adolescent: highly acidic, highly reduced, with some forward fruitiness and also some signs of old age -- flavors of dried fruits and caramel. I'll give my other bottles more time, but I am in the meantime a bit disappointed.

Pop and pour, consumed over 2 hours. Nose: Medium intensity, quite youthful, showing primary aromas of blue and red fruit with menthol or mint notes, no noticeable oak influence. Palate: Medium-full bodied, medium-plus acid, medium tannin, red fruit attack, with a spice driven mid-palate lift, thins a bit through the back-end. Finish: Medium length dominated by tart red fruit and spice. Quite youthful at the moment, will likely flesh out nicely over the next 3-5 years.

Very nice! It has a few more years as it’s a bit early. Let it breathe for a couple hours. But well worth it. Nose: strawberry. Raspberry. Dark chocolate. Citrus. Taste: Leather. Tobacco. Plums. Berries. Very nice finish. Develops more as time goes on. Definitely worth it. Drinks much higher than price.
Consumed over 2 days (vacuvined), note from day 2. Nose: Medium intensity, blueberry and cranberry, with black pepper and mineral notes. Palate: Light-medium bodied, dry, blueberry, cranberry, and minerals with hints of black pepper and leather. Finish: Medium length dominated by tart blue/red fruit, leather, and black pepper.
Superb acidity and intensity. 100% Graciano. Apparently every vintage is better than the previous one, according to the winemaker, because climate change is favouring Graciano. The acidity is the most noticeable thing - the wine is exotic and complex and less generic than the Garnachas. Interesting but perhaps not so compelling?

Really enjoyed this at the price, and will be buying some more for day-to-day occasions when upgrading to a good Rioja can't be justified.

Disappointing. I usually like Zorzal's wines, but this one ended on a sour note.

Peppery, dry, good length and tannin balance. Berry, spices and licorice. Nice!

Great wine. Needed about 3.5 hours to really start showing. Great aroma and fruit flavors with some earthier flavors.
