Deep ruby in the glass. I drank this straight from the bottle, no decanting needed - aromas of plum, blackcurrant, blackberry (all on the riper side). I was expecting this to be broad on the palate, something similar to a Napa Cab by the smell of it, but it has some really nice finesse and acidity to it. Yes, it's rich, but doesn't taste anything like a warm climate Bordeaux blend. Some of the oak spices come out on the finish, which is quite pleasant, contributing to the complexity of this wine. Good stuff, something to impress at a dining table or a blind tasting.

Drinking beautifully! A great interpretation of Bordeaux blending in NOTL... drank from magnum and was pretty much perfect. If you've got 750mL formats, would recommend drinking over the next 1-3 years.

3 days in Niagara; 1/4/2019-1/6/2019: 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc, 11% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec. Leafy, pepper and raspberry notes on the nose. Medium bodie on the palate, mixes the spice, herb and fruit notes well. Very well made wine.

This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec has a rich, medium-high intensity nose of crushed blackberry, raspberry, and currant, with hints of floral and leather and well-integrated oak spice notes. It's medium-full bodied and nicely textured on the palate with structured and refined tannins that have some grip. Lovely aroma replays are well-balanced. Very good acidity. Some savoury nuances on the long finish. Approachable now, better in 1-2 years and drink to 2026.

From the spectacular 2015 vintage this Merlot / Cab Sauv dominated Meritage is bold, powerful and drinking beautifully.
Medium+ intensity nose of worn shoe leather, herbs de provence, violet, tobacco, creme de cassis and crushed blueberry and blackberry.
Refined but grippy tannins, and hearty acidity suggest this wine can be cellared for several years.
Flavours of sweet black plum, blueberry, dark chocolate and black liquorice.
Finish lingers long with liquorice and a hint of spice.

Rich dark currant, earth, mineral and toast nose. Savoury and glycerined with good grip and a marked freshness. Smoky, toasted bread finish.
