I love this label and their ability to believe you're drinking the best from the Barossa. So there was some disappointment with the wines length, maybe a little young still, I'd liketo think so, 4 more bottles will give some light to the need for the fruit and spice to add depth and interest to the currant upfront. I do so love their label...and the Elderton font is raw and Australian.

good quality cabernet. Typically Barossa cabernet - more blackberry and plum than blackcurrant, dollop of cassis and cloves and some thyme and very ripe tomatoes. More of the same on the palate with melted chocolate and merest hint of dustiness. Supple wine with resolved tannins and thrust, just a little pedestrian - suggest not too much more left in this so drink up.

Excellent, powerful, but quite elegant - Very dark reddish/purple, well concentrated with notes of black fruit, plums, cherry, spice and vanilla on the nose, nicely structured, complex, balanced, sweet on the palate with a long finish, well done! (91 Points).

Excellent, a very nicely balanced Aussie Cab - Dark purple, extreme concentration without going 'over-the-top', notes of pure plum fruit and oak on the nose, no mint notes as is common with Coonawara Cabs, nice tannic structure, complex with a very nice finish (91 Points).

Still drinking well 12 years down the track. A very smooth aged wine that still has a good fruit profile.

Heavy notes of cassis and raspberries, with dusty tannins. This is a powerful, elegant wine.
