Just fantastic Auzzie Shiraz. So much blue berry fruit, velvety on the palate and unctuous flavors for days. So this isn’t easy to get I my neck of the woods!

Very new world style. Inky maroon color. Medium long finish. boysenberry. allspice, white pepper. Medium plus bodied. Oaky. This is a wine for people who favor new world styles. Not earthy really.

I’m not good at verbalizing how wines taste, but I can tell you the difference between a good wine and a bad one and this wine is one of the best Shiraz bottles I’ve had.

Great wine, not a waaaaawoooooooooooooo but pretty close 😊🍷👏
Intermediate red color, partially bright, mostly clouded color.
Full body, soft but still felt tanines. Low to medium acidity. Smooth but with a nice structure👏
Nicely aromatic, black fruits, spices, barrels and terroir 👏
Same on the plate, in an intensive manner (new world wine): plum, blueberries, blackberries, oak, chocolate, pepper, licorice, anise, leather, stone, pomegranate, cherry 👏
Great & very enjoyable wine, quite expensive though 🍷

Typical Aussie Shiraz nose, sour cherries and hot fudge. First sip, leather, toasted pine nut, beef jerky. Tannins carry the load with no chalky after effect. The alcohol does add a bit of heat on the close. Easy to sip, looking forward to the buzz. easy 94pts

Cary's Night of the Aussie's! (Cary's Castle): Touch of mint/clove on the nose, and dark cherry/raspberry and comes across higher toned. The finish is silky smooth, this is a nice wine. This is a complete wine. My 2 of 5 and the groups 3 of 5

I'm not familiar with other wines from this producer but this was very enjoyable. Good with or without food. More on the feminine side of Shiraz. Great finish.

Just a stellar Shiraz- heavy blue fruit component for me, but more medium bodied than the last bottle I remember tasting. We’ll balanced - long finish, and not overly sweet. Two hands has this style nailed.

I'm grilling Picanha steaks tonight and needed a rich red wine, Aussie Shiraz fits the bill. This one is deep ruby, nearly dark purple. Very brooding and mysterious. The nose has got gobs of ripe blackberry, blackcurrant cassis, oak, purple licorice, and black plum. The aromas are so pronounced I have to take a breather- super concentrated. The palate is dry with an immediate back palate astringency that I don't think I like. I'm going to walk away and let it breathe.
It's still there unfortunately. Anyways- I get black fruit compote, rich cassis and oak cloaked in medium level tannins and medium (+) acidity. I find the wine a touch thin on the mid palate making it medium bodied- not what I was hoping for tonight. The finish, once I get past the astringent portion is actually quite nice and makes up for the thin mid. Juicy, a touch dry from the lingering tannins and laced with licorice and black fruit. Overall this wine disappoints me as I have had stunning bottles from this producer, perhaps this one is off. At $50 this wine is a 2 star effort as I am going with 87 points- far below the pros who tagged it with 91,92 and even 96 points. Must be a bad bottle. Shame.

爸:有果味,醇厚,少少幾好味! Me: medium to heavy body, rich favour of berries, oak, and very balance acidity and alcohol. Good !

By Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 92 The 2017 Lily's Garden Shiraz is marked by ripe cherry fruit and herbal undertones. Hints of thyme and mint appear on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is creamy and ripe, turning silky on the finish. This is one of the few Garden series wines where the oak is evident, but it's still well blended with the rest of the wine, showing up as just a bit of additional structure.

I was disappointed by this bottle. My benchmarks for Lily's are older 2004, 2006 and 2007 vintages, which had power, depth and layers of rich flavour. This wine has fruit in abundance and some fragrance but it feels flabby. Low tannins, medium to high acidity, little oak. It's mostly fruit, fragrance and sour acid. It's still good, but underwhelming for the price. It might be better in 5 or 10 years.
