Really enjoying these. Darker color but lighter weight, nice nose, not deep but has a long finish. I get a typical BF profile here. I think the Ribbon Ridge wines are some of the best in the Willamette Valley.

Distinct green notes which eventually blew off after a two hour decant and more time in the glass. At that point, a typical BF wine was revealed. Don't know what happened in 2017, but this is the third bottle with the same results. More stems, immatue grapes? Not pleasing to me.

Translucent darker ruby. Nose of fresh cut red berry, damp cellar, musky violets, plum blossom. Layers of deep set red plum and black cherry fruit cut with iodine and a hint of char on the palate. Arched acidity and firm yet filed off tannin. Longer finish of tart, juicy, bold red and black fruit grounded in earth. Excellent with grilled salmon in Carlsbad, NM. Half bottle.

Caramel oak, chemical, sour green apple. This bottle was a letdown. I still think it needs a couple years for the oak to integrate, but then I'm not sure about the purity of fruit. Maybe too sour and underripe.

Intense, concentrated, high-toned cranberry and raspberry on the nose. Palate has plenty of acidity and tension, slightly green tannins, finishing with a creamy white chocolate note. I think it’s a bit young and would suggest 2025-2030.

Clear pale ruby; clean medium plus nose of ripe red cherries, soil and cocoa; dry; medium plus acidity; low tannins; medium plus alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate has fruit payoff and cocoa and soil on finish; long finish; drink now or in 5 years; excellent wine

This wine is mind blowing in so many ways. Layered, complex, flawlessly balanced. Absolutely jumps out of the glass with a bursting bouquet of lilacs, blueberry, and plum. Lots of minerals, forest floor, hints of mushroom. Incredible balance and a silky mouthfeel, leading to a long, clean, but clingy finish. Nearly perfect.

This is seriously good. Blind I would have guessed Cote de Beaune, Pommard. Earthy, sous bois, fruit compote aromas domiate with with a solid tannic structure. Towards the finish you can feel that is is a bit riper and fruiter than most Burgs. Very good balance. Can be drunk now but I certainly would give this 5 years more in the cellar. 93-94

Fantastic Christmas Eve choice. Ripe red cherry along with lively acidity. This paired perfectly with French cut pork rack. I think with more age this could get even better.

good medium red color, young and polished Pinot nose, cherry, on the palate young and tight, rose petals, cherries, red raspberry, fine length and a good tense finish, this needs time but shows great promise.

Bottle had a slight spritz on the palete - unusual for these bottlings. Gave it a little "Fourrier Shake" and that really settled it down and opened it up. That said, I don't think this was a representative bottle unfortunately and was seemingly slightly flawed.

Medium bodied with essence of pomegranates, blueberries, raspberries, loam and mint. Layers of strawberries, blueberries, mint and pomegranate are enhanced with balanced acidity. A very enjoyable wine and a crowd pleaser.

Very enjoyable Pinto representative of the Oregon tradition and the Beaux Freres soil. Nose full of red and black berries with some mushroom and loam emerging in time. Palate reveals some mint with a lot more fruit in balance with very fine acidity and lite tannins. Full finish echoing fruit and are mint.

Wow, what a delicious pinot. It is strong, almost as powerful as a cab. The nose is fruit forward, so is the palette. Raspberries, strawberries, and cherries followed by notes of barnyard, earth, and morels. Excellent, silky tannins, coupled with good acidity give this a long, delightful finish.

Medium to lighter style. Red fruit. Initially fruit-forward, smooth and balanced but clammed up after an hour or two. Not showing much character at this stage and likely needs several more years of aging before it shows. Hopefully, I can wait.

For me it's not on the same level as the '15, but it's still excellent. Starts out subdued but opens after a couple hours. I get mineral on the nose and just general wet woodland all around. On the palate, the flavor ranges from celery to red berry to blood. That sanguine note lingers throughout, but not in a bad way. The intensity isn't quite there, but the complexity and balance will reward your attention.

Decanted > 2 hours and paired with smoked St. Louis style ribs. On the nose, ripe red fruit with hints of spice and cola. In the mouth, lovely juice that is lighter than I remember from tasting at the winery. Very balanced with mild tannins and a nice, but not overly long finish. The 2017 is just entering its early drinking window and the wine is very young. No traces of "green" but I will give the remaining bottles a few years to mature.

Love this Oregon Pinot Noir. Darker and more full body than most Pinot's. Even my friends who do not like Pinot Noir's love this wine. If you get a chance go to the winery its's a lot of fun. Full fruit and nice legs.

I always enjoy this producer’s wines, even when the bottle is this young. Medium body. Really nice acidity. Red fruits on the nose. Palate presents tangy, earthen, and subtle fruit. Fantastic finish even with young age. This wine should continue to develop for the next few years.

Wine is surprisingly light colored. Slightly cloudy, not that bright. Nice crimson color.
On nose, spice forward. Baking spices, five spice powder, red fruit. Really nice. Like an intense Sonoma Coast PN but more spice forward and less fruit predominant.
On palate, wine is sound. Really beautiful - full body, good acid structure, palate matches nose.
What a great wine! I have several bottles and I'm supposed to save them, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Consistently a good wine vintage to vintage. I recently had a 2013 (a more difficult vintage than the 2017) and I was surprised how much this reminded me on that. The is ready to drink with a nice balance of fruit and tannins. A 92 for this seems spot on. I would drink this earlier than later, but it probably has legs to go to 2027 or so.

Willamette Valley May 2019; 5/17/2019-5/18/2019: Just classic. Typical aromaticity, with rich cherries and spice. On palate it's spice forward with a decent tannic structure. Drink it, age it - either will work well.
