lots of cabinet spice today but later reveals a lot of pungent earth and whiffs of manure. Fresh, delicate red style fruit makes this charming to drink but the tannins poke out a little much today. Seems a bit dried out and while it is charming and classic Beaune, there are structural issues that only take you so far at this point. 89-90 points.
