Rich and lively ruby red with strong marathon worthy legs. Lovely nose first thought was I am walking into one of those mushroom houses where they are grown. Right under neath that a basket of red ripe cherry and strawberry. Some nice spice and sassafras. On the palate it packs some heat but that quickly gives way to nice fruit and a soft pleasant roll through your mouth. Nice Santa Rita Hilo’s Pinot. Fess can always be counted one to produce real nice Pinot. Paired with some chips sour cherry jam and an awesome cavemen blue cheese from Murray’s cheese shop. The pairing elevated both the cheese and the wine. Also look up Murray’s best cheese on the East coast

Surprised at the quality of this wine for the price! Nose has some depth and complexity to it with notes of earth, mild spices and red fruit. Medium bodied with raspberry fruit, well integrated, fine-grained tannins, and a long juicy finish. Drinking nicely now, but it doesn't strike me as an ager. Probably should be drunk within the next 3 years or so. More interesting than a $20 wine should be. I'll be getting more!
