Always great QPR and an elegantly enjoyable Super Tuscan. Best at 5-6 years old. Medium-bodied and would pair with lighter red meat dishes or a go down easy complex red quaffer. The Sangiovese integrates well with other varietals. Drink now.

Coravin tasting deep ruby-purple-black med+ intensity aromas of black cherries, dark plums, blueberries, oak-vanilla, tobacco leaves, dark chocolate; developing; dry, high acidity, med+ tannins, high abv, full body, good complexity, long finish; high intensity flavors consistent with the aromas; can drink now - suitable for further aging

Opened about 3-4 hours early and that seemed a good move. Nicely integrated, good mouthfeel and structure. Nothing about this blew me away but well made and nice expression of the region.

PNP. The cork was in pristine condition. Nose: Blackberries, prunes, black olives, some wood and a little cassis. On the palate: Blackberries, Juniper, wood resin, some dried black/maraschino cherry. Finish: more of the same blakcberries, juniper, balsa wood resin, maraschino cherries in a glaze, some more prunes. This has some potential amd worth a wait until 2024 to try again. I think the wide range of scores may come from bottle/batch variance.

Straightforward enjoyable Super Tuscan. Not super complex or interesting but well put together. Limited nose. Plenty of fruit, with more intensity in the middle palate and finish.

Closer to 3.75 which is an insight to my mindset as I could have said 4 ⭐️ just as easily. Medium plus everything. Black fruit and spice on the nose. Add liquorice and leather on the palate and you have a very good effort.

The wine has low acidity. It smells like black olive, forest floor, black currant (cassis) and oregano. The wine finishes short. The wine looks inky colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. The wine has coarse texture.

Popped and ppoured, which was probably a mistake. Thinner and tarter than I expected, givien the high professional rating. Needs more time in the bottle and/or more air.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, cranberry and butterscotch. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), oak and cinnamon. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.
Pietros: This did not rock my socks, the Merlot and Cabernet overwhelm the Sangiovese, it is young and unresolved, not much elegance. A solid well made wine, clean and technically correct it lacks a personality. As it is right now it is a bit too tannic to enjoy but I don't feel it will age into something more graceful.

Dark berry, toasted bread, olive and licorice nose. Plush and slick palate with just enough drying tannin to balance; fruit is ripe with notable acidity on the toasty, smoky finish. 4/5

J’aime ce toscane! L’assemblage avec le cabernet ajoute du punch au sangiovese.

Needs more time to age. Rather thin and not as interesting as I remember Modus to be. A little green but decently balanced and not too tannic.
