A private tasting (Aventura Wines, Amsterdam, NL): Very attractive, ripe fruit, perfectly integrated oak, lovely precision and transparency, steely acidity, good sense of (northern Côte de Nuits) terroir, convincing finish.

My experience with this producer is limited, so figured I need to try a more recent wine to see how I like the style. I like the style! Medium body, fairly dark ruby color, intriguing nose of crushed fruit, forest floor, light spice; lovely palate of fairly deep red fruit, some nice spice notes, maybe a bit of pine forest, elegant and detailed, with a touch of mouthwatering tart acidity. Quite drinkable now, though I'm sure it will smooth out with a few years in bottle. A lively, light on its feet wine, quite enjoyable.

This wine really speaks to me. Excellent winemaking in a (not highly rated) vintage in a less than wonderful appellation. Well balanced with little or no obtrusive tannin. Not a wine to cellar, but one to consume now for it's youthful exuberance.

Great nose of funky earthy black and red fruit; Broad fruit palate promptly backed up by a light grainy mineral tannin with great length for the appellation. Fun little wine.

This is just a flat-out delicious wine in its youth. Whereas the '14 was a bit more earthy, subdued, and dark red-fruited in mood, this is a touch more exotic and purple fruited. Very lightweight, silky, and almost thin if it were not for the abundance of fruit flavor coming through. This is backed up with some refined tannins and salty minerality giving some structure. Really pleased that this did not taste overripe or heavy in any way despite some really punch fruit flavor. For $45, excellent QPR in the Burgundy category.
On day 2, this showed more young tannin. Long life ahead.

Nez de fruits rouges, un peu vegetal, leger café... Très belle fraicheur, cerise rouge croquante, leger vegetal, relativement mineral pour un rouge.
