I bought a six pack of this a few years back and have always loved it. Haven’t had one in over a year and I think it’s now at its peak. Deep dark rich purple color. Nice fruit and dirt aroma and taste nice mouth feel. Really good QPR.

One-hour splash decant. Wine was not terribly fragrant during decant. Clear, garnet from bowl to rim, no bricking or sediment. In the glass, red fruits and fines herbs make up the nose. In the glass, quite elegant for a Gigondas, smooth red fruits, cedar-box flavors in a medium-plus bodied wine that did not overwhelm. A little licorice at the end of the medium finish. Good QPR and a lovely pairing with a smoked and sauced beef rib that had a little bite to it.

Disappointing. Perhaps the bottle I opened was an outlier, but it was nowhere near the 90 points others have given. A score of 85 was charitable. I have 5 bottles left and will hope for a better result on the next.

Apparently it was well loved down at Farwell. Smells super pretty - ripe fruit but big bright ripe fruit. Really lively and fleshy on the palate. Very youthful but very lovely as well.

As good as ever and gaining in complexity. Can't wait to see it get better.

With two hours open this was just extraordinary right now. It's always good, but it was incredible. So hold for just a bit longer or decant!

Ripe, full bore and ready to go right now. Delicious but still can go farther.

Robust, powerful, touch earthy, went amazing with cold dinner of cheese and sausage. Still could use a bit of time, so no rush.

Rather full bore and I certainly felt the 14.5% alcohol this time out.

On day three showing some rich raisination to it. But the palate is tighter and fresher and more vibrant.

Well that smells enchanting - dark bold fruit with an undernote of savory.

Funny, in a flight of CdPs this tasted rather elegant. I wonder if this just turns out to be a leaner year for them.

Ripe and filling in on the palate, still has lots of spice. Filling out.

Fleshing out in the mid palate and getting bigger and broader. One to watch for now. Hold.

More piquant and cranberry than I remember it being, less barnyard. But I think just shipped to so needing some time to settle in would be my guess.
