Deep, inky black. Dense, hard to penetrate aromas. Rough up front on the palate. The back end does exhibit complexity and nuance. Atypically Californian for Ric Forman.
I suggest decanting for a couple of hours or perhaps have a glass out of the bottle and drink the rest on the following day. Trust me, it will last.
I believe this is best drunk over the next 3-5 years. My fear is that what little fruit there is will completely disappear over time.

The wine looks violet colored. The legs are medium and there is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like blueberry, raspberry and toast. It tastes like raspberry and tobacco. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. finish is quite long. I like it so much and I am happy to have few more bottles in my sellar.

Darker toned in the glass. Herbs and perfume on the aromatic. I like the density here, which reflects some brewed coffee, dark tones yet some tang, too. Seemed to be more generous and my guess would be not as long-lived as some of the older Forman Cabs I have had, which have been dynamite.

Nose: Black cherry, blackberries, boysenberry, mint, chocolate, smoke and stones. Palate: Beautiful entry of red and black cherry, berries and flowers. Subtleties of pomegranate avrils, mint leaf, brick and cedar. Layered and middle weight. Finish: Mouth coating sweet complex finish . A great wine.
As noted by others decant 2+ hours now. Better bet is to bunker it.

It kinda smells like really good, old school Napa Cabernet. Not giving up a whole lot on the nose or palate. Incredible coconut notes one taster.

This wine defintely has some upside, needs a few more years in bottle. I've heard the preference on Formans is always the 10 year mark.
Tight nose with dark berry. Red fruit, earth, some leather. Fairly present tannins. Great wine.

this was eventually ok- it need a 2 hour decant- very tight after a hour and half decant, has savoryness, minerality, ripe red fruit
