Pop and pour. In the glass, very pale, very clear yellow. On the nose, pear and slightly smoky oak. On the palate, meyer lemon, petrol, honeysuckle, and a faint background note halfway between smoke and cured meat, with mild but resilient tannins on a moderately long finish with a slightly oily texture.

A tasty and smooth wine if ever there was one. Lots of Viognier flavor without anything harsh or out of place. DuMol's Viognier is certainly the best I've tasted from CA.

Both crisp and fulfilling, delivering a nice dollop of white and yellow fruit wrapped up in a grippy, tangy housing that presents medium speed and weight. Finishes a little round (not sure of the wood treatment here - if any - but it had a touch of a vanilla smoothness that seemed to indicate some barrel effects), but with a nice zing to provide lift on the tail. One of the better domestic Viogniers I've had in a while. Drink now.

This is a really nice with that has expertly crafted. It seems a little lighter than previous vintages, but the end result is a wine that delivers so much. Elegant, refined, delicate are some words that come to mind in thinking of this wine. Tastes a bit of white fruits and a hint of spice. Great mouthfeel and pleasant aftertaste.
