Blind Old World with Il Cane Rosso pizza (Il Cane Rosso pizza, Dallas): Blind Red 1 - Dark garnet, translucent towards the rim. Sweet olive Syrah fruit nose. Smells high toned and somewhat Northern Rhone like. Medium full bodied with high toned but rich sweet tart cherry fruit with a tangy finish that suggests some light iodine flavors. Pretty tasty. Fairly young. I was drawn in by the nose to think this could be Northern Rhone, but I overlooked the ripeness of the fruit. Good.

Blackberry, maple notes and some plum. Oak seems a little high on this wine now, like a powdered cocoa so if you like that note, this is something you'll find, too.

We really enjoyed this wine and it continued to improve throughout the evening. The nose was a bit plumy but also mixed with crushed red fruits. Big aromatics. A little cool climate funk. Smelled like there may be some whole cluster in there. On the palate the primary fruit hits hard. After the big fruit it finishes with creamy chocolate. Lots of acid and a bit of tannin.

Thanksgiving day wine, not near as good as I remembered. This seemed rather simple and did not evolve, nice cherry fruit core with lots of brown sugar folded in, but that's about it, rather disappointing for 45 bones

One of the better bottles I've had lately. Wonderful perfumed aromas, dark fruit profile with a hint of floral and brown sugar. Nice silky palate with flavors of dark cherries and more molasses or brown sugar with a pleasing off-dry finish.
Of all the Audelssa wines I've had, this is the most ready to drink now. Age will not improve this wine, it's drinking great right now.

Trad. Rhone-style blend. Interesting nose: blackberry and pepper. Great fruit but a bit rough on the edges. However, it stood up wonderfully to a big steak with heavy mushroom sauce. Definitely a food wine.

Christmas Ham & Turkey. Nice spice, a little gooey on the palate. Could have been the pairing as I have liked this better in the past.

Similar to my last bottle. Drank really lively and fresh with the nice acidity and bright fruit. Lighter style od syrah.

Delicious Cali Syrah. Lush and fruity but retains plenty of character....silky and ready to drink.

Nice syrah with all the classic elements there. Not over the top in fruit or spice. Good acidity and tannins. Interesting to see day 2.

Decent bottle, blackberry, some pepper, seemed high in residual sugar.

This showed better than on previous tastings...very lush dark red berry fruit with superb and smooth oak integration.
