7th of 12, decanted an hour, crumbled/pulled through cork, perfect level, not quie right and increasingly so in glass so half bottle sinked, fruit substantially stripped, though initially not unpleasant. G+ (15.5) at beginning.

5th of 12, pnp, perfect cork and level, softer, nose enhanced and gaining complexity, attractive expression of fruit and entering prime drinking, no rush. F (17.5).

4th of 12, opened 30 minutes, perfect cork and level, little changed from March bottle, slightly coarse tannins evident, if well covered by fruit. F (17.5).

2nd of 12, pnp, perfect cork and level, previous bottle odd and unbalanced with dusty tannins dominating slight fruit - deep glossy red, little development; attractive fruit driven nose, black cherry and damson, touch of damp peaty earth and hint of rose; full, long, much more harmonious than first bottle with classy fruit dominant, grip, even some complexity if a bit of a blockbuster, still youthful. F (17.5).

I'm really getting into Barolo these days. Another great example and a killer combo with a roll of beef. The nose was gorgeous: Ripe black cherries, sandalwood, ripe raspberries, some cigar box, cinnamon-chocolate, orange zest and hints of corn sugar. On the palate the wine was focused and elegant, with a "Bourbon" like style (not the alcohol). Great complexity, youthful and straight tannins and a very good oak integration. We were pretty sad after this Barolo was empty, cause this was my last and only bottle.

Really lovely bottle with depth of fruit and notes of dried mushroom, earth and even figs. On the modern-side end to my taste, but with very fine balance. Still very young and seems full of the stuffing it needs to last.
