Floral nose Blackberry plum compote with hint of coffee and chocolate, transitions to tobacco on the back. Medium acid, grainy tannins and long finish. Some oak. A bit rioja style.

Been a while since we’ve left California Pinots and cab. Tannin was quite a change from what we were used to but still an enjoyable bottle Need to spwnd more time exploring Bordeaux again!

Pleasantly surprised by this one. Meaty nose with an abundance of plum on the palate. Tannins rolled down like espresso grinds and provided some decent texture.
Enjoyed with a heavily seasoned tomahawk steak, and it held up well.

With a nice dark hue, the wine offers ripe, black cherries and plum notes, along with a wet earth character on the nose. Lush, round, silky and fruity, the wine ends with dark, ripe plums, licorice and cocoa. This is already quite a lot of fun to taste and it is only going to get better over the following decade.

Not bad for an inexpensive Bordeaux. A bit on the tannic side but pretty good blackberry fruit.

Coffee grounds, decent Bordeaux. First night better than the second, which was more acidic.
