Clean floral nose, very Burgundy like on the nose, would have guessed this as something from Morey St Denis as it was not as sexy as VR or CM, also not showing any dark soils like GC. Sweet and smooth on the entry, tannins partially softened but very fine tannins. Not overly complex but excellent balance and sneaky long. Spicy finish. On the plate, would have guessed this as 1er Cru Burgundy from cool vintage of a reputable producer. Not a chance I would identify this as American Pinot Noir if tasted blind. Aging very well since last bottle 6 years ago. Very good showing once again. Looks like Oregon is churning out very impressive Pinot Noir. This was such a chameleon, started out like a MSD and finished like a VR with enticing spices.

A real mouthful! Not an aperitif wine, definitely one to serve with food. Fleshy, peppery and spicy, plummy. Saturated length. It’s quite a picture but one may not like what it paints.
Lots of upside here. Worth holding a few years for the next one. 2027?

Tasted at the “Red Barn” tasting room with Jim Maresh. 12.8% ABV. This wine is from the vineyard right around the tasting room. It has a slightly more spicy way about it with a distinct white pepper note and then some red florals. Bright acidity, balanced and nicely textured. Fruit is again very pure due to the lack of new oak in its aging. Glorious depth of flavor as well with cherry, pomegranate, raspberry and other spice tones. Long finish. So nice!. This started out looking a little lighter than the other Pinot’s but as it got some air it noticeably gained color depth and richer, slightly more “black” fruit tones, still room to improve in the cellar.

No notes taken, but this showed really well. Nice spice on the nose. Great balance. Long finish. It is definitely in an early drinking window but still pretty youthful.

Wine appeared visually young and showed a classical PN nose. It was a well balanced wine with delicious red fruit and nice lift. I am not convinced it is a long haul cellaring candidate but would be interesting to check in on in 3 to 5 years. At present not overly complex yet clearly well made. 12.8% ABV

Another bottle, even better than the first one after only three months. Served to my brother, he scored it 97 and said it's the best Pinot he's ever had. My wife and I were 94 each, it's a honey that will be a killer in a couple of years.

Lightly floral nose, very clean. Fine tannins with a touch bitterness. Dark berries and sour plum, savory finish. Lightly extracted and dedicated wine. All about finesse and elegance rather than power. ABV 12.8% without a trace of alcohol, good balance. Don’t know about being a 96 pointer but this is certainly very good.
A nice clean Pinot that is still developing. IMO it's going to need a couple of years to approach WA's 96 (if it ever does). Right now it's very low key. It was best 30 minutes from decanting and faded at about the two hour mark, unusual for a young wine.

Like it. My style of Pinot.
Lots of red berries. You can feel the terroir. Has sufficient minerality.
On the list to stock up a case or two.

Willamette Valley Trip - June 2018; 6/8/2018-6/11/2018: This was very similar to the Old Vines, perhaps a bit more depth. A very complete wine.
