Nose: Buttery toast. Taste: Initial blast of juicy red berries -- strawberry, raspberry. Followed by some subtle notes of earth, spice, and mineral. Light and pleasing. (Others have suggested a perfect pairing with salmon. I'd have to agree with this flavor profile, though alas not on the menu for us tonight.)

Nice fruit, with a little bit of sour cherry in the mix. Refined, well-balanced, long and lingering finish. Very tasty. Previous reviewer noted it "begs for salmon ...". So we popped it with some cedar-planked, spice-rubbed wild sockeye on the grill. We agree :)

We'll say it again: Leras Family Vineyard is the classic expression of Russian River Valley fruit. The 2017 Leras Family is an enticing, refined expression of this region. A complex nose, the wine starts with its typical burst of red fruit with good measure of the classic RRV earth and dirt. Elegant perfume notes follow as the wine continues to opens. On the palate, a delicious interplay of sweet and tart red fruit flavors entertains with raspberry, strawberry, subtle cherry notes and plenty of earth and dust. As the wine opens, the mouthfeel broadens and subtle orange peel flavors emerge. Some RRV Pinots can be too big. But not ours, this vintage offers us a more restrained year and we are loving it! Begs for salmon, paella or pork with grilled peaches and plums.

I agree wholeheartedly with Sayban's review. Classic RRV pinot, just outstanding, one of the very best pinots I've had this year.
