Medium body, bright ruby colour. Intense aroma of red and blue fruits, flowers and leathery background. Juicy, sour cherry and blueberry palate following by a bit earth finish of fresh acidity and integrated tannins. Good Chianti, complex enough and well balanced. Food friendly, enjoyable with vegetables and mushrooms soup. Open half hour ahead. Serve 18ºC - 20ºC. Drink now and the next couple years.

Very nice sang. But I liked the 2016 vintage over the ‘17. Seemed to have more depth and not as tight although after a couple of hours the ‘17 unwound a bit.

exiting wine with a lot going on. expressive nose with dark cherry, leather, tobacco. medium+ body, medium+ acid, grippy tannins. palate gives dark berries and with air lots of tobocca. needs to be quite cold

Medium ruby in the glass. Rather complex nose showing a bit of ripeness as well. This follows smoothly on the palate. Medium (+) body showing coarse tannins, beautiful acidity and a long-lasting finish. Still needs time to mellow out, but it's getting there.

God lengde. Ganske enkel men balansert og vellaget god Chianti.

Kirsebær, gran og lidt jord i næsen, måske en lille smule tranebær. Tæt rød frugt i munden, kirsebær, kirsebær, kirsebær, okay syre, okay tannin. Drikker nemt og fint og god QPR

Medium body, bright ruby color. Intense red and blue fruits aroma complemented by flowers, wood and leather notes. Dominant sour cherry and blue berry palate, mineral but juicy finish. Very enjoyable wine, complex enough and balanced, lovely acidity and young tannins. Food friendly, best match is ravioli with mushrooms sauce. Open one hour ahead. Serve 18ºC - 20ºC. Drink now while young and next five years.

Tasted several times, this remains extraordinary for the price (18 euro); vertical, dry, balanced with a sound fruit and a herbal, Italian feel and a strict ending. Very European indeed, this will 10 years - but is quite enjoyable now. #podcast

upon opening, pleasant nose of sour cherries and milk chocolate. Poured into decanter. Turned into sweet cherries and dark chocolate with some time. After two or three hours, there's some harsh acidity. Makes me think this wine is in it's youthful drinking phase and has a closed phase ahead. Don't know when. Exceptional Sangiovese at this rate (€13,50)

Had to try a bottle more and it definitely delivers , i did not decant it this time and therefor i learned that it wasnt as expressive as the other bottle i decanted.....and this goes well in hand with the story the sales person told me...that she and her husband enjoyed the rest of a bottle that had been sitting in the fridge for 1 week and delivered very well. I had it in Zalto Universal glass where it performs really good.

That was a really pleasent wine , it delivered a lot. Have tried it before where i didn't think it was as good as tasted in shop....so this time i though it in a decanter to give it some air, and that helped a lot. Shoved a lot of darker style from black olive to medicinal herbals.....very good wine for the money. Had it in Zalto Decanter , the big one , and Zalto Universal glass.

Very good. Monsanto continues the tradition, even in this challenging vintage, with their 2017 Classico, a fresh, and as always, balanced wine. Here we find a bit of a darker color, lots of juicy red fruits, a semi-rich mid-palate, and a long, cleansing finish. As expected, an excellent partner to food, and one with some staying power, as well. Drink now thru 2031. Easily in the upper end of my score range (90-92).

Still firmly tannic. A bit brambly. Good acid. Red fruits: raspberry and rhubarb. Minimal oak. Some eucalyptus. Still could mature further.

Har smidt lidt af sin primære frugt, men har stadig godt med bitre mørke kirsebær. Læder, frisk jord, jern. Grippy tannin
