Lovely nose with aromas of Cherry and a herbal character. Bright and fresh with juicy fruit, some people have called this lean but I don’t see that. There’s great depth of flavour with a Cherry Cola note and a touch of spice.

A rare letdown from A-R. There's no there there with this wine anymore. Aroma is faint, palate is fainter. No intensity, no complexity, nothing of interest. I would have expected more longeivity from this.

Craving a lighter style red, I opened this last night to accompany a healthy vegetarian dinner of roasted broccolini with tomato salad. Liked it initially but the wine eventually turned cloudy and the last pours (we typically get six pours out of a bottle, if we finish it) were a toss. Between that and the $35 price, why would you invest in this when for less you could have had a far more satisfying Cru Beaujolais? You wouldn't.

Somewhere on the road between Pinot Noir and Gamay on the nose - the fruit quality has that slightly candied signature of the variety, but there's a wonderful and harmonious savoury element that instantly gives it depth and draws you in. After some time, a light graphite minerality begins to show through. The palate's lean and fresh with crunchy red fruit, but a touch of structure as well as a hint of spice on the finish give it foundation. If you like your Gamay on the brooding side - and I do - this is for you.

Not as good as I remember this wine being. Seemed heavier on palate and there wasn’t much of anything on the finish. Simple and easy drinking but a little disappointed for the price.

Much better than our bottle from a year ago. Pretty soft red fruit and mineral driven nose which led perfectly into a silky palate where the fruit and minerals danced together nicely.

Dried flowers, autumn leaves, dried herbs, lots of airy earthy, leafy, and veggie stuff. Strawberry and cherry are in the background. Fresh and mineral on the palate, mild tannic grip and lively acids. Tart and light in body, but tons of flavor. In a nice spot. Maybe worth saving for another 5+. Not sure. Good now, will be good for at least another few years.

A great shot at CA Beaujolais. Bright red fruit with a touch of carbonic and whole cluster. Bright acid, lightweight and easy to drink. There’s a nice grip to the tannin and overall this wine is fine. Worth the premium if you want to support CA wineries.

Lovely fruity bottle with reasonable power and decent enough finish. Typically light red fruits and maybe a touch simple type of Beaujolais but quite expensive for shat it is. More than a Sunier Fleurie for example. A good bottle though and great to try. Will happily have the odd bottle to hand.

Day one: On the acid, minerals, and umami side of Gamay. Subtle is a generous way to put it. Day two: lovely aromatics and fruit have emerged! Looking forward to day three. Give this at least another year or two.

In a much better place than last summer. Takes about an hour, maybe an hour and a half to open. Ripe strawberry and cherry backed by an orange zest and rosemary-like sweetness. Some of that dirty socks funk I get from good Morgon. Shy aromatically now but juicy on the palate. Needs air now, drink mid 2020 - 2023?

Consumed over three nights. Extremely tight and hard to read. Based on experience with this wine, I expect it will improve. Needs at least 1-2 years to rest. 13%

Bright ruby in the glass. Pleasant nose of strawberry and raspberry. Soft and round on the palate with the strawberry note dominating a pretty quick finish. Enjoyable but wouldn't look to re-buy.

Bright raspberry, wild strawberry, fresh ripe cherry gaining weight and evening out some young acidity with dust and some leafy notes with air. Needs time.

Reminds me of a tight, young Morgon. Not a lot of fruit, but nice tanin and acidity. Would have liked to see if the fruit came out with air; however it got polished off with Thai food.

Started with nice strawberry and raspberry fruit with herbal tea, then just disappeared until the watery slightly acidic finish. I expected a lot more at this price, more then many high quality Cru Beaujolais, though I would have been disappointed even were it priced more like a Villages. Try Edmunds St John Bone Jolly, from close by, and tell me it's not twice the wine.
OK wine, but not for even half the price.

Not the most complex wine, but I like the flavor. Lots of tart cherry but a bit of apple

Flavorful but simple, and a bit too heavy mouthfeel. Nice but not notable.

Paired great for Thanksgiving dinner. Light bodied with cheery and raspberry overtones. Drinking well.

Undrinkable on Day 1... very unpleasant artificial cherry candy. Improved by Days 2 and 3 but still not worth the ~$30 price tag.
