Consistent w/ previous note from Jan of 2023 but less vibrant on day two. I think this is may be the peak and the window is starting to close. Previous note:
PnP. Dark garnet with dark red edge in color. Nose of mulberry, damson plum and prunes. On the palate: mellow red fruit, dry cranberry and earth. Tannins are smooth and earthy, nicely integrated, but still holding a great frame for the fruit. Medium-to-long finish of red fruit. This wine still has impressive intensity...tasted over three days and was fairly consistent suggesting it has many good years left. That said, I do not see it improving over time. Only the length of the finish prevented a better score and I'm imagining that even in its youth the finish was not much longer.

Essentially the same as the last time, and agree with the previous note about the short finish Ok, but wondering if I should care less about what kind of aged Bordeaux I can pick up for x$, and more what's the best wine I can get for that price

The first 2 days, the best I could say about this muddled tobacco is you'd never guess it's from anywhere else It's better on day 3 when aronia, red currant, celery (unfortunately), and blackberry peek through, and 4 when it's blueberry compote to a nearly New World extent $32, from a recent Gordon's offer, is fair, by a hair

13% alcohol. CS 55%, M 40%, CF 5%. Very good cork, very dense and pretty long and showing no wine penetration whatsoever. Decanted 45 mn ahead. The colour is deep and it shows no sign of fading. The nose is very engaging with wild dark berries (and confectionery developing after a while). The mouth is better still, with a winning juicy quality and excellent grip. Some oak comes across as welcome seasoning. A joyous wine, and it is not often that I would say this about a Bordeaux. This must have costed no more than low double figures, and it delivers well above its price point. Will last another ten years without a bother. This is an object lesson in integrating a fair dose of M without swamping the CS. A success without a doubt. Oh, and did I say that I like it ?

13% alcohol. CS 55%, M 40%, CF 5%. The cork is long but not very dense; very little wine penetration. Decanted for an hour. The colour is dark with very little thinning at the rim and no sign of browning. Good nose, not very intense but offering a well judged balance between ripe dark berries, confectionery and a suggestion of vanilla (not in an obtrusive way at all); really harmonious in an understated way. The mouth delivers on this promise, adding a slightly plummy character but with enough acidity to make it thoroughly enjoyable. Eminently digestible as well, meaning that you can have a few glasses without feeling bloated. Perfect with our grilled lamb chops. A resounding success, and outstanding value. A repeat purchase for sure.

From a magnum. Dark and dense color. Powerful and fruity aromas of dark berries and some vanilla. Fruity, earthy and dense in the mouth, with plenty of extraction. Some quite evident etheral notes. Young and impressive.

Utterly delicious. I'm drinking it almost pop and pour and from a cold cellar but it is so good like this. Everything is right with this wine at the moment. I so wish I had more.

Ripe, winsome and rich, with cherry and vanilla on the nose, then a high octane mouthful of blackberry and a high pitched finish. This lacks depth and body, there isn't a middle section either, but it is still a very decent wine at a good price.

From the very start, lots of dark fruit on the nose as well as the palate with tannins alongside. Started with good body too... but that faded after 2 hours of open air. The taste faded a bit as well and the only variation of note after opening was the general fading of all senses after about the 2-hour mark.

Drank this bottle after a several month hiatus from Bordeaux. Dark opaque purple color. Thick, but fast legs. There's a lot going on with the nose: violets, graphite, oak, stemminess (but not green or vegital), a little barnyard funk, and plums. On the palate the graphite comes through as well as the plums, and there's a little cheese/mushroom thing in the background. The fruit is ripe, and there's nice acidity coupled with some tannic structure on the back palate. The only drawback to this wine is a hollowness on the mid-palate and a clipped finish. Great food wine, and it seems to punch above it's weight price-wise.

This was mildly interesting on the first night after decanting. Quite earthy profile with black fruits and light funk. On night two. The funk fades, and so does a good portion of the fruit. You get an earthy mushroom initially and then a big hole in the midpalate. Finish balanced but hollow.

A very pleasant wine, solid effort from Paloumey. I actually liked it, very good everyday drinking wine, although if you're looking for a lot complexity, this wine may not be for you. Dark, inky purple color with good finesse. Oak over the top, with cigar box, cedar and vanilla coffee notes. Blackcurrant and blueberry aromas need a little air to show and slight almond/nutty bouquet needs more time to develop. One dimensional and a little disjointed at first but eventually comes together. Medium to full-bodied with blackberry, licorice and lots of plum on the attack. Very nice and firm structure with almost harsh tannin and good acidity level. Lots of oak factor on the mid-palate. Medium finish, and tannin dominates, which masks other components and throws the finish a little off-balance. Overtime, there are nice dark fruit characters surfacing with a little vanilla and cedar, and again, the oak-monster screams loud in the aftertaste. Best after 2012. Needs a little more time to soften and integrate.

Decanted over one hour.Dark fruit and some oak on the nose.Medium bodied, smooth palate giving vibrant dark, cassislike fruit with firm and dusty tannins. Not too tannic or acidic though.A small hint of oak and pencil lead as well.Solid bdx.Drinking nicely now but will definitely gain from further cellaring.Give it 3-5 more years.

Very nice, full bodied wine, with nice tannins. Particularly impressive for the price. Could wait a few extra years for the tannins to melt a little more and the wine reach all its potential.
