Deep purple. Perhaps a glimpse of tawney. Aroma dark cherry and rainy forest. Palate, tobacco plum, stewed cherries, moment of chocolate Fairly bright acidity. Finish is almost cola like..

Delas' 2018 Ventoux is an unspecified blend of Grenache and Syrah that was fermented and aged in stainless steel. Deep ruby in color, it serves up an attractive package of red bramble fruits, cocoa, clove and lavender. Medium-bodied, softly tannic, seamlessly alcoholic (14.5%) and with good freshness, it stays dense on the mid-palate and concludes with a silky-textured, medium-length finish. This well-priced Southern Rhone is an "easy drinker" in every respect. It can be popped, poured and enjoyed any time over the next 2-3 years. Drink now-2025.

decanted for a couple hours. relatively smooth on the front with fruit forward nose, and even at this young the tannins are pretty easy going on the finish. could sit for longer but at this price drinking fine now for a simple evening bottle.
Started with an amazing prune, very smooth, low tannin, opened up to some berry and some gamey notes as well as wet stone, after an hour or so it moved to some additional cherry notes, overall really nice and a steal at this price point.
Pretty solid value, nothing crazy, but it delivers for the price. Juicy, deep cherries with leather and barbecue sauce aromas. Cherries and plums on the palate, ripe, accessible, with medium-low acidity and chewy tannins. Fruit blends with leather, clove and pepper. Crushable, fun, solid entry-level Southern Rhone red.
Full body, bright purple color. Intense spicy fruits aroma followed by leathery notes complements by powerful but juicy palate and mineral finish. Muscular but alcohol well hidden, fairly balanced, nice acidity and round tannins. Food friendly, enjoyable with Mediterranean salads and fresh champignons. Serve 16º - 20º. Still young and needs aeration, open four hours ahead. Drink now and next four years.

Deep purple red color. Nose is light cherry or strawberry. The mouth feel is lighter. Flavors of tart cherry, dusty earth.

Initial thought is that the Delas CdR is better value (at $2+) than this Ventoux... Might try another bottle.

Popped to watch stage 11 of 2021 Tour de France with double ascent of Ventoux. More heft than I was expecting. Solid QPR. Perfect Wednesday drinker.

Smells like its pretty loaded with Syrah. And with a bit of power but also good tension to it.

Ripe nose of red fruit with a touch of minerality like its got a little Syrah in there. Its also on day two so it might be fading out a touch.

Nice spicy fruit on the nose. With some notes of concrete. And lively and fresh on the palate. Super solid.
