My last bottle of three cases. Consumed one-half, the remainder was scoffed by a guest raiding my partner's refrigerator. This vintage of the wine is - or more precisely was - much better than the 2021's I have been drinking since. This presents some minerality and depth, with a slightly bitter finish. Such a great value. (88-89).

This bottle was opened eleven (11) days ago (when I thought the wine was past peak) - and half of it stored in the refrigerator. Well. "surprise, surprise" - as 1960's television character Gomer Pyle might say. It was better on day 11 than on day 1. Rich, pronounced - almost profound - Sauvignon Blanc flavor. I have had many, many bottles of this mass produced wine, in this vintage - what an exceptional Q2P ratio. You don't always have to break the bank to drink delicious wine. This just blew away the similarly aged and stored leftover 2019 Cambria Chardonnay Catherine's Vineyard, an excellent value as well (and 94 points from AG), which displayed a bitter finish. OK, this is not complex and it is definitely not Sancerre, but it was less than 10 bucks. The more recent vintages are good, but I'm not sure they are quite at this level. This is not for wine geeks - this is a more than decent wine to serve to "ordinary people." Perfect with swordfish. (88+).

Fresh and pungent with flavours of capsicum, blackcurrant leaf and maybe a whiff of cats’ pee. Crisp and any tartness is offset nicely with a hint of residual sugar. It delivers what it says on the tin and is unmistakably an S/B from Marlborough NZ, so no surprises. CHP 84 pts

No contemporaneous notes. This wine, an excellent value, is medium to full bodied, offers decent concentration of fruit, some mineral and complexity, and marries well with many foods. Another really good bottle. The '19, if you can find it, is drinking better, now, than the newly released '20.

Our second Sav Blanc of Thanksgiving was another Kiwi wine. Pale yellow in the glass with a somewhat muted nose of tangerine and pomelo. On the palate it is refreshing with that orange citrus flavor along with grated ginger and capsicum. There is a hint of wood accent on the mid palate and a touch of acidity. It’s a fuller mouthfeel but is a bit shallower on the flavor profiles. 89 points and 4 stars for this $11 quaffer to drink till 2022.
Light yellow. Fresh citrusy fruits on nose. Lucious mineral fruit in mouth. Really delicious. Slight acidity on finish. Really a great value. Solid house white. The last of 6 bottles and the best. With grilled blackened swordfish, grilled broccoli and baked russet.

Very white with the slightest of yellow tint. Slightly sweet lemon mineral water on the nose. Notes of lemon water and sweet hints of lemongrass and a tiny bit of effervescence. Strong lemon zest and minerals in the lengthy finish.

No contemporaneous notes. Tasted in a flight of four Sauvignon Blancs and Pinot Grigios, this was the third best of the flight and girlfriend's least favorite. Nice nose, more fruity than the 2017 Kris Pinot Grigio. Good value.

Pale, golden in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of citrus notes of lemon zest, grapefruit & guava with overtones of gooseberries & grassy notes, some floral notes, herbs & minerals. Light bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of lemons/limes, grapefruit & apples with a hint of minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present. A very nice & enjoyable daily quaffer with a good QPR. There is no possibility this wine rates a score of "51" unless it was (1) an off bottle; (2) someone does not understand New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs; (3) someone does not know how to properly evaluate wines objectively; and/or all of the above.

This pale yellow/green wine delivers a tangy package of green apples, citrus, pineapple and ginger. Light-bodied, unoaked and without noticeable alcohol (listed as 13.0%), it stays vibrant on the mid-palate and closes with a crisp, medium-length finish. Well-priced, this white can serve as an apéritif or as a partner to light fare (such as sushi/sashimi). Drink now-2021.

Star bright with a delicate but brilliant mid-yellow colour and very high, specular reflectivity. Excellent intensity of mouth-watering aromas, with banana, mango, and some light lemon up front, and a faint background of grass and apricot. Decent complexity at this entry level, and a full-on presence of bright fruits. On the palate, bracingly bright acidity, light watery body, and a texture of light juice, very transparent. Flavours of apricot, lemon-infused mango, and other tropical fruits on the attack, with a bundled complexity to it- not layered, but a bunch of flavours rolling around in a ball of sensation. The midpalate evolves to provide a clean lemon-grass flavour and delicate florals, before fruit intensity builds back up with some mineral gravel finish that lingers with medium length.
This is a fresh, fun, affordable, and brilliantly drinkable wine. Fruit-forward and with good intensity, it shows a decent amount of depth. This depth is restrained somewhat by a rolling character that behaves more like a roller-coaster, so there is no building of sensation, but more fleeting glimpses of depth. Still, delivers far above the price point, for an awesome new world Sauvignon Blanc experience, and rings through and through with the spirit of New Zealand.
Impressive. Lifted aromas of veggies, stone fruits, gooseberries + mineral hints. Its medium bodied, crisp spherical layered freshly fruited, nicely opulent white fruits + veggies palate has lovely depth Ends longish, fresh and stylish. 13%. Great value at under £8.00.
