I am both a bit disappointed with the bottle (given who the winery is) and hopeful that the wine has the stuff to fill out over time. Nice vibrant shimmery red, very pinot in colour. The aromas show strawberry, raspberry and rhubarb. Wine almost feels like the aroma of tartness coming through (it is weird but I pick up that sensation). Bit of cedar as well as spices (cloves, anise). Overall flavours follow aromas. Add in cola ... which I am not really fond of. Definite tartness and slight bitter black tea streak at the same time. Medium acidity, vague drying tannins, medium to short finish. Definite bit of minerality (stoniness) as well.

Wow, this bottle was so much better than the last one a month ago. Pungent aromas of strawberry, red cherry, cola, fresh tilled earth. Some creaminess on the medium-bodied red-fruited palate, particularly on day 2. But I kept going back for that fabulous nose. Excellent!

Generally a big fan of every vintage of Blue Mountain reserve Pinot Noir. Impatience got the best of me and I opened another bottle of the 2017. Strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb, star anise and cedar notes. Tart acidity with slightly astringent tannins, short finish. Needs time and will pay off - hold.

I opened this and tasted one glass. I found this to be harsh very sour cherry flavoured and smokey wine. Left this after vacuum for a day. The second day this was an outstanding pinot. More rounded/balanced on the palate. Great cherry/ dark fruit flavours with good acidity and moderate tannins. Will decant the next bottle and age a few before opening another.

13.0% abv. Light garnet, almost dark pink, color, clear rim, clear glycerin legs. Wild strawberries, rhubarb, sea air, some clove in background. Med weight & mouthfeel, entry starts smooth with subtle level of acid and tannins that build nicely mid palate. Strawberries, Rainier cherries, green leaf, stems? This definitely tastes like a blend, doesn’t show much terroir, other than BC, but drinks easil. Very poor QPR imo at $58 Cdn retail.
Day 2 this wine completely fell apart, no structure, flabby and almost off putting like the fruit took on too much water. Threw remaining half bottle down the drain.

Burst with spice, red fruit and cherry cola. Good acidity and balance but definitely on the New World style. Lacking the elegance and terroir of a good Burgundy.

Light red. A bit tight in the nose, should have decanted for an hour or so. Floral, pure Pinot Noir nose, spice and red cherry. Dry medium weight spicy cherry flavours and a dry light as a feather finish.

Light red, pink edges. Very elegant cherry, spice, warm earth and red flowers. Dry spicy red cherry flavours with a bit of pencil shavings in the dry balanced finish.
This is a unique style, light on it’s feet but still lots going on. If I was served this blind I would definitely think France.

Aged in a blend of barrels that age from new to four years old.
Decanted 30m. Earthy, red cherries, minerality, raspberry, white pepper, hint of tobacco, salinity & leather.

I had not noticed how oaky this was. Could have been me.

Medium ruby. Strawberry and cola on the nose with some obvious heat. This is still very primary and needs at least 2 more years to come together.

palish red (as usual). Heady sweet & sour cherry with a hint of cola. Glyceric. Long finish. Infanticide
