Very solid backbone for a gamay. Earthy, with a long finish... but still has the typical gamay fruit. Really well put together, and fantastic QPR at the $22.50 I paid. Drink now, or hold for perhaps up to 5 years.

One of the more profound and brooding gamays I have had in a while - deep, concentrated, long-lasting palate showing blue and black fruits and a significant tannic backbone. Over time, it mellows and the tannins recede to reveal a lighter but still fruity profile.

Has gained complexity since bottle 6 months ago. Showing some floral aromatics, and lush, but high-toned fruit, with some spice notes on the palate. Medium plus finish. This note taken on day 2, indicating there’s some longevity to this wonderful Fleurie.

The wine is now in a much better place than my prior 2 bottles (7/21 and 10/22). It’s finally showing the lush red fruit, flowery aeromatics, and perhaps light herbal notes that others have noted. Low tannins, decent structure, but there’s still a very high acid level or they lied about the 13.5 octane that seems just a tad out of balance. Still, is now in an enjoyable place and I no longer regret my purchase.

Meh. It’s red wine. Not sure what all the fuss is about.
Full disclosure: this shipment arrived about 12 days ago, so maybe there’s still some bottle shock happening, but I was completely underwhelmed. I’ll give my remaining bottles a month or so before opening.
Delicious red cherries, minerals, and floral notes on the open nose and silky smooth palate with soft tannins and acidity on the moderate finish. Drinking beautifully!

Poured from bottle after open for about an hour. The wine is quite lovely and displays deep, ripe fruit in perfect balance with ripe tannins. The acidity is in the background, which makes me wonder whether the wine will develop complexity over time, or is it at peak drinking currently. Will try another bottle in six or so months to assess. Agree with another note - I could drink this all day long.

Day one: a little ripe, rather fruity gamay profile. Liquorice. Little"banana". Day two: wonderful. Purer. Red fruit. Some raspberry. Still some Liquorice somewhere. Fruity - but with elegance. Definately a move towards burgundy compared day one.
Med body, med acid, med - tannin
Could drink this all day.

Young Beaujo from excellent vintage that needs time. Green and grainy now - pretty fruit will surely follow. Has potential for 90+ in a few years once it has come together more.
N: Very stemmy, tart raspberry and blackberry, red currants. Smashed granite, burnt forest floor. Enticing.
P: Raspberry and blueberry jelly when chilled (best served). Quite austere, brambly forest berries and green stems and leaves. Pretty floral notes and freshly picked English raspberries bring some fruit. Sandy young med tannins, with gravel texture.
F: Green stems, dry, grainy.

Straight out of the bottle the wine was quite restrained, both its nose and palate. But with some time it opened up wonderfully, revealing beautiful floral aromatics and silky red fruit. Fuller-bodied than other Fleurie I've had, probably because of the proximity of the vineyard to Moulin-a-Vent appellation. The tannins are noticeable, suggesting that holding off a few years will yield an even deeper, more complex wine. Will continue this note on day two to see where wine stands then. Day two: mid-palate really pops and then a lingering finish showing spice and floral notes. Yet another beautiful 2018 Cru Beaujolais. Most floral of the bunch, consistent with Fleurie appellation characteristics.

My last bottle. This was really quite pleasant and fresh. For about $25, it’s a perfectly nice wine and drinking very well right now.
