Wine matured for a period of time on fine lees. It is not filtered. Golden yellow in the glass, intense and floral aromas, peaches and fruit jam. The palate is rich, apricot and honey. Citrus jam, nice acid shoulder. Savory and very long finish.

So good I read other notes. Gave this a vigorous double decant and shaking and then slow ox’d another hour or two. Showed really nicely. The color looks oxidized but the palate is fresh, rich and well structured. I don’t know how this will age as it was not as acid driven as other 17s I’ve had but it is showing nicely now.

Doesn't have the typicity of Chablis. Medium yellow, darker than expected, probably from fermentation and aging in older oak. Ripe lemon and yellow fruits on the nose with a hint of salinity. Big lemon curd. Textured, slightly creamy mouthfeel - there must be some sur lie aging or battonage. Also malo is more perceptible than typical Chablis. Medium+ acidity with a medium+ finish. Has 1er cru weight. Disappeared quickly.

Miscellaneous Wines from Beaune and Chablis; 11/6/2022-11/10/2022: At Maison du Colombier, Beaune. Medium yellow. Exuberant ripe lemon on the nose. Excellent shape, volume, and acidity to complement the citrus. Over time, the barest hint of salinity and iodine, but for the most part, this could have been from anywhere and would have been hard to identify as Chablis.

Really good. I read the other notes and was expecting a somewhat oxidized or otherwise challenging performance. I appreciate the detailed comments of the prior reviewer‘s.
On pop and pour the wine did show some fizz. I gave it a shake and stuck it back in the fridge. We let it sit for maybe an hour or so. The wine is terrific. This is a totally different experience than the 2016 I had before.
This wine is well integrated with ripe yellow orchard fruit, good mid palate delineation with some extract and excellent length. As the English say, “Moreish.” While I can’t say this knocks on the door of a Grand Cru, it is absolutely a great 1er Cru and good QPR. Recommended.

Straight out the bottle this was quite worrysome. A dark golden colour, fizzy, and funky on the nose. This could have passed for 20 year old, poorly stored champagne.
I decanted this back and forth multiple times, and then drank it 2 hours later. And then... What a transformation.
This suddenly became like a wonderful St Aubin Remilly or Chevalier Montrachet. Basically high slope. High acidity. Generous minerals. And nice balance.
The lack of oak also allowed this to pair well with sushi.
Overall, much, much better with lengthy preparation and air.
*WARNING* - Please do NOT pop and pour. Haha

On the pop, a little spritz. Some like peel and petrol, very tropical in profile. So much that I thought it might have been a young Prum! Yet, with air it relaxes. This stands out for its tropical notes and less for minerality or any other Chablisienne characteristic. Well, except the searingly delicious acidity. Liked, but didn’t love

Tres joli !

Tank sample. Will not be bottled until summer 2020. More mineral right now. More stone than lemon fruit. Lots of complexity here while still being clear.

Deep yellow. Lemon, olives, wax. Phenolic texture, balanced acidity, this is very good but has little sense of place.

On the nose: Grass, Peach, Green Apple, clementine, hay, some spicy/secondary notes once it opened up.
On the tongue: High Acidity/Mouth watering (Delicious!), Length was good but not great.
Really surprised by this wine as it was much more complex than expected. Delightful!

This surprised to the upside. A depth, intensity, and balance that is rare in chablis. Quite good.

Blind. Complex and interesting, yellow fruit, quite a big boy, did not peg this as Chablis. Perhaps a little blurry in the edges.
