  • [Ryan's Vinum Tasting 12/20/22]
Big and bold juicy dark fruits, but not over extracted. Predominantly primary palate of sweet black fruit, black cherry, blackberry, blueberries, with hints of developing oak on the backend. A little tight and tannic, but not intrusive. With age this will only blossom. 93++

  • Amoureuses theme'd (blinded) dinner. Decanted for ~6hrs prior to serving. This was the 2nd bottle of 2018 (coincidentally), with the 1st served during the previous flight. Aromatically similar to the 1st - some smoke, spice & black-cherries. This came across "tighter" than the 1st-btl, but still, tremendous weight/concentration on the palate with plushness to boot and yet, oozes elegance at the same time. Satiny textured and palate-coating, this was already very much enjoyable (the fruit pretty much took front seat). Grand-cru material, and will improve with time...

  • Another very approachable, delicious and already complex young Burgundy at tonight's dinner. I'm a bit floored at how complete all of these young red Burgs showed, but what's in the glass is in the glass. Huge, spice and floral filled nose with red and black cherry. The palate is rich and forward with Grand Cru concentration. I suspect this will gain both flavor and textural complexity over time. As good as this is now, it's a little overt for Amoureuses, with certain nuance to come. Upside from here.

  • 80% whole bunch and 25% new oak. A delicate bouquet of fragrant rose petals, bright red fruits intertwined with exotic spices and touch of gravel. Knocking of Grand Cru doors in terms of weight, definitely Grand Cru intensity. Sexy and suave. (92/100)
