한국 웹에서 평점 등을 찾기가 어려워서 좀 겁이 났었지만 막상 마시고 나니 어마어마한 만족감을 줬던 와인. 아마 블라인드로 했으면 보르도 레드, 그것도 어느정도 오래된 와인이라고 하지 않았을까? 말그대로 지금 마셔도(라고 하기엔 그래도 7년이 지났지만) 맛있게 마실 수 있게 잘 만든 미국 와인.
노즈에서는 가죽향과 검은 과실이 아주 두드러진다. 시간이 지나도 이러한 향은 거의 사라지지 않고 점점 더 좋아하지는 기분이다. 오히려 미국 와인에서 기대할 수 있는 바닐라향은 거의 느껴지지 않는다.
팔렛에서는 꽤나 우아하게 풀린 탄닌이 매력적이다. 피니시가 조금 짧은 게 아쉽지만 바디감도 꽤나 묵직한 잘 만든 보르도 와인이지 싶다. 산도가 조금 약한 게 아쉽긴 하지만 그런대로 Drinkable 하다.

We enjoyed this, though it was lighter than what we remembered. It was good, but my memory and note from the previous bottle, made this one seem not as strong as the other. Wished it had a bit more fruit flavor and dryness.

Unlike the last bottle, we enjoyed this the entire time. Had more of the deep delicious flavor that we remembered. We gave it about 1.5 hours of air before drinking and enjoyed it all night. Didn’t leave a drop.

Quite good. I thought it was a little light and didn’t quite pack the flavor that I remembered after drinking one a few months ago. The cork was extremely hard to get out and smelled slightly sour, so it’s possible this bottle was a little skunked. Still drank well and we enjoyed with a steak. The Mrs. stayed up late so she could finish her share of the bottle, which says something for how much she enjoyed it

Still very young, but has lovely fruit aromas. Heavy tannins that softened a bit after being decanted for > 1hr. Delicious fruit flavors, with berry notes particularly strong. Delicious now, but this wine's best years are definitely in the future. Recommend cellaring for 5-10 years.

taste a bit young like the fruit hasnt eaten the oak...the tannins are a bit dry and I so like it's clarity...the extraction and oak are at the tipping point of my taste...the palate is very dry and oaky...just opened its already coming alive...needs time ...2024+....almost peaty smoky offputting then I swirl the glass hard and find cream, black cherry ,tar, raspberry,potpourri ...honestly wish sometimes you could taste the napa with zero oak bring in a guy from sw france to make me a 12 percent natural napa wine

Med body purple nose: blue fruits , eucalyptus. Easy entry fruit cherry, blue berry. Long finish cedar moving to new oak. Complex - good wine. Medium acidity and just a hint of dusty tannin.

I agree with Chanote44…
Lovely and pure Dark cherries, ripe blackberries and a touch of earthy chocolates not being shy on the black spice note. (Yeah this is real Cab)
Even in 2017’s heat the wine is balanced darker than 16’ and 18’ but still great balance and the tannins are slightly chalking but still very fine.
A great wine proper old school napa in the 2017 vintage and Trefethen again NEVER leaves me disappointed!

Edomite to big cab with hints of blackberry and a strong peppery finish. Ready to drink upon arrival, but will probably mellow with age.

Medium intensity flavors of ripe cherry, and blackcurrant. Subtle notes of cedar and dried herbs, and a gravely dustiness.
It had a great balance of fruit and tannin, but it’s still too young. I should’ve waited for the tannin to soften, but I was thirsty!
