PnP. Nose of honeydew melon, pear, petrol, and a hint of lemon peel. Palate delivers a sweet lemon bar and quince flavor with subdued gooseberry and hint of cumquat showing acidity. Tangerine peel, lemon, bitter almond and floral notes. This wine showed better on its own than with food.

Pronounced aromas of lemon, apple, pear, grapefruit, lime, butter, clove, vanilla, brioche, apricot yoghurt, hazelnut, almond, toast. Medium+ acidity, medium+ body and a long refreshing finish. This is outstanding. And I suspect may improve with a couple more years.

I bought this wine due to its high ratings on the internet.
Lemon yellow, quite expressive on the nose with aromas of citrus and tropical fruits, white flowers, while the oak aging added vanilla and toasted hazelnut aromas to its bouquet.
Medium to full bodied, that stays remarkably light in the mouth with citrus and apricot flavors. Its cool acidity prolongs its useful life expectancy, but the barrel’s influence on it blankets its quality features.

Nose: White stone fruit, pineapple, jasmine, maybe honey suckle? Just a lot going on here, that makes me want to just enjoy the nose on this wine all night long.
Palate: As @Ricard stated, the weight on this is a perfect balance, as is the fruit to acid to structure. Again, stone fruit, pineapple, with an impression of honey and cream, the acid arrives to maintain the balance and the finish lasts for minutes.
Talk about a wine you want a case of!
Thanks to @Tim Heaton for introducing me to this gem!
White and yellow fruits in the bouquet. On the palate beautifully ripe yellow fruits and a beautiful balance between mild acidity and some sweet impressions.

Clear medium gold; clear medium plus nose of kitchen lemon, brown butter, mushroom and papaya; dry; medium plus acidity; medium plus alcohol; full body; pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of croissant; long finish; drink now or in a few years; excellent wine with fascinating style that is both fruit driven and restrained

Subtle and explosive at the same time: cream, almonds and white flowers. I love the weight of this - it combines the density and oiliness of a Marsanne with the lightness and raciness of a dry Riesling. This is a super-sophisticated Chardonnay - so uniquely expressive of a personal interpretation of the grape or perhaps a terroir I don't understand. One way or the other, it is utterly delicious and very obviously ambitious and serious. Deeply moving and delicately poised between richness and and lightness.

Slightly cloudy pale yellow appearance. Lemony nose, with a lovely mouthfeel and plenty of refreshment. Very pure fruit although initially quite 1D on the palate but when the glass was revisited towards the end of the meal it had opened up and become more interesting. From magnum.

WOW...précis, élégant et bien droit. Belle acidité et belle vivacité. Des fleurs, des citrons, du silex et un peu de pommes. Une pointe de miel en arrière-plan sur une finale longue et tonifiante. Excellent.

The opening salvo is of a soft oaky Chardonnay but the wine evolves and develops to a lot more to the point that decanting would be advisable for sure. Stone fruits, ripe lemon, soft honey edge but in a very mineral and energetic environment. Very good and just at the start of its drinking window and we feel ( also having tasted the 1999 back when it was 12 years old , Papies 93) that this has 15 yrs plus of life. A bit of a let down to see screwcap closure but we then remembered what n advocate for this closure has Paolo de Marchi has been even bottling his ceparello with it. 91-92 and we only saw but a glimpse of it.

Nose of Meyer lemon, stones, and a hint of petrol. Palate shows pear, apricot, and lemon with tart acidity. Finish has bread and yeast with lime, prickly pear, and buttery notes. A very smooth, polished, and elegant Chardonnay. 93 points.

One hour of aeration in decanter; last glass, some 2 1/2 hrs later was the most complete. To my palate, this is/has everything I'm looking for in Chardonnay - precision, elegance, deft power, depth of fruit and a racy, lingering sense of place and grape. The mineral and floral components kept my nose busy, and buried in the glass. Bravo, Paolo. I'll hold another 2 years before opening another; should drink at a high level for another decade. highly recommended
Clear medium gold; clean medium plus nose of butter, lemon curd and caramel; dry; medium plus acidity; medium plus alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus flavour intensity; pfn with slightly tarter, fresher fruit; long finish; drink now or in another 5 years; absolutely amazing - buttery without being overbearing

Not sure I entirely enjoyed this - some bitter green, though not distasteful elements in quite a punchy package
