A bit heavy on the alcohol, otherwise red fruit with an overlay of cola and spice. I always look for earthiness in a pinot and found none here, but it's a nice enough wine, drinking well. Served with grilled pork chops.

Medium garnet in color. Forward, attractive & aromatic nose of ripe red fruit aromas of red cherries, blueberries & strawberries with overtones of floral notes & spices, earthy/dusty, minerals & a touch of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of sweet red cherries, blueberries & strawberries with spices, earthiness, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present & even at 6 years of age, it should develop slightly further with additional aging.

Nice blend of fruit from six sub-AVAs in the Willamette Valley. Cherry cola, spice box, with a lift of raspberry juice on the finish. Nicely balanced and versatile with food. Medium-bodied.

Candy sweet nose. Bold polished, sweet, ripe fruit entry, followed by dried spice, barely tart, alcoholic candied fruit middle palate. May be attractive to some big broad fruit Pinot drinkers. For me, well made Pinot should be subtle, the mystery of grape captured in the bottle, a miracle in the glass.

Visiting Vancouver and the Willamette Valley; 8/26/2021-8/30/2021 (Vancouver, WA and the Willamette Valley, OR): Penner-Ash's basic Willamette Valley Pinot is a deep ruby wine that offers an attractive package of red cherry and raspberry fruit, accented with notes of tangerine, clove, cocoa and black tea. Medium-bodied, fresh, softly oaked and with equally soft tannins, it stays solid in the middle and throws no heat from its 14.4% alcohol (when served at 60-65°F). Medium in length and juicy on the back end, this is a well-balanced red that should be at its best over the next five years. Drink now-2026.

pnp - Few Pinot appeal to me, but this is one more full bodied with musty earthy subtle wood undertones - and of course the classic floral Pinot nose. A bolder style that I prefer.

PNP at BarZotto. Big and a bit oaky. Not what I seek in Oregon pinot. 14.4%

Not overly fruity. Maybe a black cherry. Real nice.

That is ripe and powerful as well. 6 single vineyards mostly from Yamhill Carlton and right near Shea. Ripe and really good.

Fruit-driven. Additionally, aromas of Ceylon cinnamon dust, forest floor. Sweet and young fruit layered with baking spice. Approachable and tasty.
