Pop and pour. Sangiovese 37%, Merlot 32%, Cabernet Sauvignon 31%. Deep ruby in the glass with a thin pink transition and a watery rim. Nose hits hard with cedar, dark fruits, deep plumb, and sassafras. Full-bodied, medium minus acidity, palate of licorice, dark fruit, and...cork? Heavy coating tannins. Medium length finish.
Admittedly, I am not a fan of super Tuscans. I find Cab Sauv easily dominates anything it is blended with. This wine is what I expected - heavy, tannic, brooding, and monolithic. Not much change on the second evening. I'm sure many people will enjoy it more than I do. To me, it tastes like it could be from anywhere. It overwhelmed my charcuterie board. Not recommended now through 2027.

Definitely not anywhere as good as the many prior vintages we have enjoyed. Seems like a failure to launch but not a flawed bottle. Acceptable quality but not for the price

This was served too warm at the restaurant so it was better night 2 at home. Saw this wine all over Tuscany which surprised me a bit. Though I prefer a purer expression of Sangiovese, this was tasty and was nice with a grilled chicken and eggplant with tomatoes on pasta.

This is an enjoyable wine if you prefer dry tannins. It has a deep garnet color with hints of purple and strong slow legs. Rich aromas of black currants, black cherries, and hints of nutmeg. Its tastes of plum and black cherries with nutty spicy hints. (again the nutmeg) It finishes with a medium to full body.

Blackberry and plum on the nose. Dark fruit, cocoa, and some leather on the palate. Silky to grainy tannins, medium plus acid, full body, and a medium oaky finish. Good with food but pretty easy drinking on its own as well.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, cranberry and fig. It tastes like blackberry, cranberry, oak and stoniness. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Sangiovese 34%, Merlot 33% and Cabernet Sauvignon 33%
Medium to full body, deep ruby color. Intense black fruits and leather aroma. Dominant sour plum and black currant palate following by rounding finish. Silky but complex enough and well balanced, grippy tannins and wild berries’ acidity. Food friendly, well paring to risotto. Serve 18ºC - 20ºC. Open two hours ahead. Drink now while young and next six years, perhaps longer.

A well-done "budget" Super Tuscan. Sangiovese, cabernet sauvignon and merlot in equal parts. Fresh and lively, yet with some seriousness and staying power. Better than I had expected.

A real nice nose that has a ton of dark berries with a tad bit leather. It starts with a light and faint dark berries. In the middle it punches up a bit and adds a little chocolate and leather. The finish has a clean leather and berry punch. Good

I buy this when our liquor commission discounts it. The standard price is $30 which I wouldn't pay for this. When it's discounted, it is in the $25 range (all figures are Canadian $) and I find that a fair price point for this wine. It isn't exceptional by any means but it isn't bad for an everyday wine. It isn't my favourite everyday wine but it does allow me to add variety and so I buy it occasionally. Red fruits, dark fruits, wood, earth. I decant it for an hour or so. Good wine for everyday, nothing more, nothing less.

PnP. Very deep ripe red plum with a quick fade to a transparent rim. Scorched plums, dark and sour cherries, dry earth, twigs and ink on the nose. Medium bodied, very dry, high acidity, subdued fruit and mild tannins make up the spmewhat linear body. The flavours are dried and dark red fruits, woody twigs, wet slate and strong tea-like tannins. The finish is dry, tart and tight. A little austere overall.

Aromas of bright black cherry and some cinnamon spice. Thin initially and then tart with the cinnamon sweetish mouthfeel simply dominating. The mid palette is a little harsh with acidity dominating the mouthfeel. The finish is more of the same but short and not lingering.
It is a tasty mix but one that can be polarizing with that acidity so uncontrolled. Guessing this could age well. Let sit for 3+ years
Medium scarlet purple Bright earthy dark fruit that has a light easy lifted feel. Quite fresh and easy right now and a fabulous restaurant choice, but nice enough balance to hold
