Showing a little age with a rusty translucent more-red-than-orange color. Either I'm a little nose blind today or the bouquet is muted compared to my last tasting. Still some red strawberry and pomegranate notes on the nose, but more dried herbs now than I remember. It's certainly softer than it was before. Really nice on the palate, with notes of dried roses, dried herbs, and dried red fruits. There is a slightly acidic, tart finish that's quite nice. I doubt there's much of this obscure little wine out there for people to enjoy, but its fun to sip if you have it.

Pulled a glass via Coravin and left to air for about 45 minutes before attempting to swirl and smell. Translucent ruby color. Quite reduced at the moment with a burnt match stick note that really dominates. Swirling chases this sulfur-linked note away, but it creeps back into the bouquet rather quickly. Underneath are dark red notes of cherry and dry figs. After getting past the sulfur notes and actually tasting, I found that beyond the cherry and fig notes, there was a hint of raisin, along with an herbaceous quality that finished just a little on the tart side. This wine is certainly interesting to taste. Not sure how "drinkable" this will become, but tasting it has some appeal. Somehow I think this might pair with just about anything barbeque related. I think I might have to buy a fancy amarone just to tell whether this one is any good.
