Tantalizing to the taste buds. So much bright and vibrant high toned red fruit it makes my salivary glands hurt. Decanted for 30 minutes. Drinking great now. Burghounds need not apply as it is a new world juicy fruit bomb.

I know this is a lovely wine from my previous tasting notes. As an experiment, paired this evening with pasta and red sauce. Not a good idea at all. Thought the acidity in the tomato sauce would pair well with the acidity in the Pinot. Next time will pair with a Tuscan or Piedmontese wine.
Excellent. Cherry and a bit of bramble with some frisse and a bright finish. The single vineyards are outstanding but don’t overlook the incredible appellation wines that are often the better value. Extremely good now, better in 2 years if you have the patience. I did not and drank all of mine! 94+

Slightly extracted cherry, raspberry on the nose and the palate, blooms into a lovely cherry, strawberry greens, and orange rind on the palate with a long finish fading into a bit of brush. This opens up beautifully in the glass over about 30 minutes and I’d recommend a decant to serve to others

Bright red fruits predominate on this silky, smooth offering from KB and the Santa Lucia Highlands. Very good appellation offering with some baking spice notes. Medium bodied and a bit more playful than some of the other appellation offerings. Great mouthfeel and palate. More elegance than power for sure. Very nice.

Pale purple color with slow legs. Cedar, light smoke and cherry on the nose. Raspberry, black cherry and cinnamon on the palate. Long satin like finish. Glad I have another bottle should get better with more time.

I was expecting it not to be ready to drink but was soft and elegant but still had a kB profile of fruit forward. Not as dry/ alcohol content as 2017. They change the label slightly from all other previous vintages.
Bravo, great kB profile but w more refinement - I guess they are always tweaking the wine and experimenting or is it different from being from Santa Lucia vs Russian river / Sonoma - I have to call the winery and ask.

This is fantastic and a great representation of premium California Pinot Noir. Intense and ripe red fruit and well integrated high quality oak.

Bright red cherry and strawberry fruit with notes of forest floor on the finish. Benefits from an hour decant to fully enjoy the Pinot Noir.

Young but already a great Pinot.
Ruby red with nice clarity. Aromas of red cherry and spices. The palate is clean, balanced and filled with red fruits, pomegranate and spices.
Very food friendly!
