After an hour to warm up this exuded a classic Peay profile. Delicious without being fruity, mature, elegant on the nose and tongue, and exquisite finish.

A real joy to be able to still find wine like this for circa $30 in wine shops. Intense and fresh, with notes of dark berry fruit, dried herb, and black tea.

If you know this vineyard, then you know what to expect. I have never had a bad Peay Pinot! I noticed the drink window, for my taste I believe this wine will hit peaks starting before 2030, however, I accept the majority opinion.

Reticent, shy, enigmatic. This had a core of ripe black cherry fruit that never harmonized with the chalky mouthfeel and high acidity. I strongly suspect it will come around with 3+ years in the cellar. I won't be able to test that theory as this is my only bottle, but based on this experience I won't be touching my 2018 Pomarium anytime soon.

Sheer class. Cool, calm and collected, chalky, withdrawn, very elegant, this is an almost aristocratic version of Sonoma Pinot. Will keep, get broader.

Purple, slightly opaque. On the nose some sticky vanilla and generic fruit. On the palate again generic fruit, lacking definition. Not sweet, but still a bit cloying despite the high acidity. Light, slightly herbal and bitter tannins. Medium lenght with more herbs, vanilla and grippy tannins.
Not a bad wine but lacking definition and complexity. The german pinot from Philipp Kuhn I had alongside was easily superior and that at half the price. Will not buy again.

Medium ruby color. Moderate aromas of violet, mulberry and slight cedar. Dry, medium body, crisp acidity with a fair balance. Moderate flavors of red raspberry, violet and hibiscus.

Cherries on the nose, with slight floral notes and some earth. Opened with cherry fruit, some minerality, and darker earth notes. Relatively restrained in alcohol at 13.2% ABV. Relatively medium short finish, but all of the elements seemed in balance, allowing the pinot to shine through.

Aroma: quite aromatic eucalyptus, blueberry, mint Palate: cranberry, Montmorency cherry, blueberry, flint, mint. A touch of minerals. Good acidity. Nicely complex for an entry-level wine.

Savory sweet sour bright cherry and packing a little heat. Lovely sonoma coast estate blend. Good front, middle and ending palate. Extra long lovely finish. Very good for the entry estate bottling wished I could have waited a couple years to see it evolve further.

Nice, young. Quite giving in this stage but needs to mellow a bit.
