Black cherries, wet earth, and spice aromas are laced with a kiss of bottle age. Bright and smoothly textured, the palate offers fine-grained tannin and a lovely earthy funk that is very agreeable.

Popped and poured. Aromas of black cherry, currant, dried herb and toasted oak. Black and red fruit, spice and chewy tannins on the palate. Medium to long finish. Medium to full bodied. Served with baked lasagna.

Ruby color, soft nose, spicy mildly acidic entry, lighter side of medium bodied. Not a typical Chianti per my taste, too sprightly and fresh although not unattractive. Banfi adds Cabernet - not that I can identify it- And wouldn't it be interesting to match up all the Cabernet clones and how they arrived in Italy? My guess, many are not Cabernet as we know it. Has any Pro analysed DOCG addition of non Sangiovese grapes to Chianti? Why?

Medium bodied. Starts with a lot of cherry and red fruit, ends with a vanilla taste, almost rum like finish.

Solid with cherry, floral, spice and earth. Medium finish and decant acidity. Good value.
