We toasted in the 2012 New Year with this. It had a fabulous mature bouquet of biscuit, pear, walnut, mandarin, chalk and mushroom aromas. The palate was soft, round and creamy with flavors of pear, walnut, a hint of mandarin, chalk, mushroom and truffle. 92+

Decanter Champagne Masterclass 2007 (Landmark Hotel, London): Pale warm gold. Multiple beads. A hint of salinity/'puffed wheat', but also fresh-cut melon and citrus. Airs out well. Soft, round taste, good fruit, a hint of mandarin. Fairly short finish. [40%C/50%PN/10%PM; disgorged end Nov 06]

La Commanderie de Bordeaux à Vancouver - Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste Vertical (Bistro Pastis): No formal notes. Nice maturity on the nose with notes of toast, yeast, soft citrus and earthiness. Soft and round in the mouth with nice acidity. Very good.
