A little closed initially; opened up nicely and pleasant, but not quite what I hope for from Genvrieres; maybe just a tight stage; balance was good; just not as much on the nose

fantastic, especially given '18 isn't my fav white burg vintage... this had Remi's less austere style (with a hint of sweetness, and big fruit, albeit on the citrus side of things) but also some sparkling acidity to give it lift... right up to the opulent line for my tastes but very very tasty on this winter night

was thinking 91 then upped it a bit, this because my friend (who knows wine pretty well) said he thought the slight sweetness I tasted wasn't residual sugar but actually great citrus fruit... if so 92 is the number, this had great fruit, with some very good acidity to keep it lifted... perfect / nice after a round of golf in the heat

Cellar tasting (Cologne): Glass: Gabriel Standard *** brief notes for my memory, no official CT rating *** Popped and poured. Had three single vineyard Meursault and the Genevrières tonight. Suprising to see, that 2018 was not fat or broad shouldered. Lots of citrus and lime, oak is in the very back. Fine, good elegance, nice fruit, good mineral core and good length. Makes fun now, but needs 5+ years. 91-93+

Way too young now. Keep it for at least 3-4 more years.
Great potential. High acidity. Cream, vanilla and gunpowder. Potential 91-92 I believe?

Floral honeysuckle, hint of nectarine and melon. Little underdeveloped, still needs another three to five years
