  • This pours medium straw in the glass with flecks of gold toward the rim. The nose is immediately appealing and complex showing classically Chablis. Cold cream, wet river rock, green leafiness, lemon curd, and chalk waft from the glass. The palate is lovely entering on rich lemon curd, turning to linear acid that is medium plus and focused. the finish show lovely classic chalk, and lingers impressively for this level. Really delicious stuff and better than I remember from previous showings. I think a couple years of age has helped here. Blind I'd likely be guessing 1er based on this showing.

  • By the glass. Nose full of acid fruit notes mainly tropical fruits such as pineapple or papaya. On the palate it is thick, covered by an acidity that gives tension and length.
It offers half price premier cru quality being a village cooperative wine. So clear to me.

  • Very pale daffodil yellow. Chalk, delicate lemon and yellow apple aromas on the subtle nose. Clean, crisp and juicy in the mouth. Fills out in body dramatically as it warms on your tongue! Flavours of crushed stone, lemon and yellow apples again with also a little bit of grassiness. Overall, very bright and fresh tasting. Lighter side of medium bodied. Medium long finish with great cleansing acidity. Lovely with scallops done with garlic and lemon!

Very impressed, as I wrote for the 2015/2016 vintage this bargain chablis offers and excellent price performance ratio.

And its absolutely fun to taste how different each year tastes.

This is one of the more versatile and complex vintages.

Flowery, mineralic bouquet with short hints of honey...
After some aeration and time ... some thick smokey, spicy notes.

Nice mouthfeel, moderate body, good long aftertaste... and quite oily...

Really beautiful acidity, like chewing on fresh green apple zest intermingled with lemon sting.
Sometimes hints of mint.. like a fresh mojito...

    niceeee stuff

If it can evolve a bit with bottle age this will be really fun later.
