Great Village in a challenging year. Still, Lafon brings the goods with all the characteristics you expect from one of his wine; perfectly ripe fruit, beautifully integrated oak, nice freshness. Very "Lafon" wine.

Quite a muted nose. On palate rather concentrated fruits, quite broad, some lemon, pineapple, apricot. Touch of butter.
More traditional style - less acidic and linear versus some other Meursaults.
Very nice, soft and round but I wonder if lacking just a bit of acidic zip (or arguably purity of fruit if you think the lack of acidity is the Lafon style). Still very good.

I’m concerned by the lack of enthusiasm in these notes. This wine really needed a few hours of air to breathe after which it blossomed.
Beautiful reduction, Flinty and dripping, with concentrated pear and slate. Long finish with ample acidity. This was a marvelous example of what went well in 2018.

Very nice but a bit of a challenge even at closer to $120. Lots of melon, vanilla, white flower, toast and mineral. Color wise it’s almost clear white with light to medium texture. Slightly reductive with a nice oily texture. Needs time.

A beautiful and fully approachable young white Burgundy. Orchard fruit, lemon cream, toasted nuts and spice. Ripe fruit that has lip smacking freshness and is energetic throughout.

A good wine, but highly disappointed. Could have mistaken for a $30 bottle of blanc.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Walk around tasting. Also a wonderful Village wine, just not as great or balanced as the 2019.

Un des meilleurs Meursault village de Lafon de la dernière décennie.

A Few Wines Tasted at Lisa and Sheldon's Engagement Party (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL): Floral and nutty with lots of ripe orchard fruit, just in front of a few riper tropical hints. Good depth for its level. Good to enjoy young.
