Very fruity from start to finish. Medium-bodied bouquet of red cherry and cranberry, finishes with a hint of olive acidity and sweet vanilla bean, which preface a strong hit of bitterness, aged leather and tobacco with a bit of spice.

Pale ruby. Relatively low intensity aromas on the nose. Sour red fruit (cherry, pomegranate) on the foreground and maybe some floral hints (rose) and graphite. Same aromas of medium intensity on the palate. High acidity, high tannins and medium body. The 14,5% abv was barely noticeable! Relatively short finish.
Certainly a good Rosso di Montalcino, but the 93 pt score from Ian d’Agata is ridiculous. This is medium-bodied, dry, red fruited, and moderately tannic. It’s lean without being austere and is a nice food companion. I’m not sure that I like it over a number of Chiantis in the same price range, but I would be happy to drink it again if I had more.

Good, not great vintage of this personal favorite. Some warmth from alchol in the aftertaste, otherwise a spicy and savoury Sangiovese to go with tuscan food. Drink or hold for a few years.
Decanted an hour. Wine did improve over the next two hours. At first it was a bit thin and muted. Put on more weight and structureover time. For $20 it was an average QPR. Just a quaffing/pizza wine purchased at Costco.
In the nose red fruit, well balanced. Tasted it first in august 2020, then it was still very young. Now it has more balance but still firm tannins, could age for one more year, I wonder what the next bottle will taste like in a year!
Opened on Day 1 aftr 2h air and found the aggressive muscular tannins made it unapproachable. Gave an additional 3h air and put aside for Day 2, where we found it still muscular, but at least approachable. It's still a wine that needs a year or more to come into focus. Pale garnet color. Offers black cherry, strawberry, cured meat, tobacco and caramel. Silky texture, a bit lean, with a medium-full body. Black cherry on the palate, dusty, with hints of licorice and spice.
Körsbär, viol, lagerblad, och ganska diskreta tanniner. Bäst kyld, alkoholen kommer fram lite vid högre temperatur. Ingen långliggare men kommer säkert öppna upp inom tre år.

Incredibly dry and massive tannins. Not much discernible fruit. Very light in color. Wife loved it, I wasn’t a huge fan

Decanted an hour. Has some nice layering of flavors for a $20 Wine. QPR is good and is a good pizza/quaffing wine.
