Colour: Ruby towards garnet/brickish Nose: Black tea, ripe dark fruit, tobacco hint, dusty, a little warm from alc., liqourice Taste: spices, some dark fruit, light to medium body, tannins 7/12, balanced enough but lacking in consentration, quite short.

This has become very pleasant with a few years in the cellar but can go for another 10y easily. Preferred it on day 2 when it had picked up a more gamey tone of hung meat and liquorice.

At PMKLCC. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of red cherries, strawberry, light red spice. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), fine high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, ripe strawberry, light red spice, licorice, fine tar and underlying minerality. Sneaky long finish. Very good quality. Kudos to the fine polished tannin structure on this. Balanced and classic wine. Not fully open and hiding some of its hand. Another 2-3 years more perhaps. From five Barolo cru: Cerretta, Sorrano, Damiano, Broglio and Costabella. Barolo paired with late night leftover pizza - what a delicious combi.

BBR Piedmont deep dive (BBR): Slightly darker than light ruby. Classic cherries/balsamic nose. Quite linear and direct on the palate; it's not mean by any means with good fruit (all red cherry to me), but it's compact and a little austere at this stage; not much in the way of florality/anything else. Tannins are grainy and high, but by no means unbroachable.

Dype toner, litt jordlige, læraktig, hint av tre og bitterhet som fra druestilk, svakt hint av røyk. Bør egentlig ligge en god stund til for å få mykere taniner, frukten er lys fortsatt

First impression on nose is strawberries and solvent. Then it dies quite quick. Mouth is extremely well balanced with quite tough but wonderful tannins, razor sharp body with everything in balance. Fruit is sweet and matches tannins and acidity. A light touch of oak, perfect. After a couple of hours the dried cherries and rose perfume reveals themselves.
The feeling is that eventhough I love young barolos this is still a bit in the tunnel. Best guess is to give this at least 3 more years before next bottle. In for a fantastic future though.

Just woah! Ruby coloring with a garnet rim. A beautiful nose of rich red cherries, roses and hints of spice.
On the palate this wine is soft and delectable. Cherries, spice, maybe some tar, a long and fresh finish. This bottle has great structure and complexity. Polished tannins with well balanced acidity.
Very impressed!

Pale ruby colour. Medium and developing nose with strawberry, black pepper, licorice, tar and rose petal. Medium (+) taste of strawberry, black pepper, licorice, leather, tobacco and forest floor. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium (+) tannins. Medium body. A very good Barolo with great potential. Needed four hours to open. Drink in a couple of years and ten years ahead. Goes well with beef or lamb.

Relativt lys rød. Flott aroma med preg av tørket frukt, lakris, nype, voks og roser. I munnen er den saftig med medium fylde. Tanninene er tydelig, men snille. Lett sødme i frukten. Bra lengde.

Obviously it is a youthful wine at the moment, but it is good enough now that one shouldn’t have any regrets drinking it.
The nose conveys sour cherry and rose, a little licorice, wet gravel, and fresh, leafy herbs. I would call it all energetic. The palate shows mostly primary fruit, but what makes it so appealing are the fairly tame tannins. At times they coat the mouth, but they neither distract nor intrude on the fruit (especially with a meal).
In short, don’t feel bad about drinking this sooner rather than later.

1 time i karaffel. Åpen og tilgjengelig frukt. Spent på om dette kan lagres. 1 dag i flaske: sur/søt frukt med rognebær, lett salt ettersmak med fin syre og middels tanniner. Kjøp noen flasker

Wines at the Farmhouse; 9/11/2021-10/9/2021 (Carlton, OR): Nose: This was open from the morning before pouring. This was then wide open and pure with bright red fruits, strawberries, raspberries, red cherries, fresh picked berries, licorice, crushed rocks, sweet tobacco, herbs, and some leather notes. There is a great amount of purity and balance to this very attractive nose that is all about elegance with a touch of oomph.
Taste: The feel is Full bodied with tart, high acidity and silky, yet youthful tannins. The vibrancy and freshness of the nose carries through on the palate with bright red fruits, strawberries, raspberries, red cherries, licorice, crushed rocks, sweet tobacco, herbs, and leather notes.
Overall: Clearly this is a young wine. It also happens to be pretty damned good. This is all sorts primary right now but with loads of stuffing for this to age as gracefully as it is elegant right now. This will need to stay out of people’s reach because it will be way too tempting to dig in at many, many points even though it will greatly benefit from 6-8+ years of aging.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cedar. It tastes like cherry and jam. The body is medium/full. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity. A bit anonymous.
