Colour: Ruby towards garnet/brickish Nose: Black tea, ripe dark fruit, tobacco hint, dusty, a little warm from alc., liqourice Taste: spices, some dark fruit, light to medium body, tannins 7/12, balanced enough but lacking in consentration, quite short.

This has become very pleasant with a few years in the cellar but can go for another 10y easily. Preferred it on day 2 when it had picked up a more gamey tone of hung meat and liquorice.

At PMKLCC. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of red cherries, strawberry, light red spice. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), fine high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, ripe strawberry, light red spice, licorice, fine tar and underlying minerality. Sneaky long finish. Very good quality. Kudos to the fine polished tannin structure on this. Balanced and classic wine. Not fully open and hiding some of its hand. Another 2-3 years more perhaps. From five Barolo cru: Cerretta, Sorrano, Damiano, Broglio and Costabella. Barolo paired with late night leftover pizza - what a delicious combi.

Still young and a bit edgy, still needs some time. Better with food.
