I served this with pizza. My guests finished the other two bottles I served and avoided this one, I ended pouring it out at the end of the night. Too lean, tart. I can see why it ended up dumped on the market at Costco. I know better than to buy wines at Costco. Learn from my mistake!
Really pleasant nose of cherry, with some floral hints. A bit tannic, could benefit from time or decanting. Decanted about half an hour some sour cherries, hints of rose, leather. Lingering finish.
Is there even any fruit in this? I don't remember having a Barolo this bad. I can only imagine how disappointed the owners of this vineyard must feel to create a wine so mediocre in such a great vintage. The alcohol right off the first sip is so strong (14.5%) and with such little fruit that it completely destroys any mid-palate or finish thereafter. We tried before, during, and after dinner, and with an hour and a half decant as of now, this wine seems to be getting stronger on the alcohol with every minute. The aroma has practically disappeared at this point, taking on a strange brandy/ whiskey smell to it. A good wine feels alive, like a living breathing thing, but this wine embodies the opposite of that, like there is nothing moving or living in it. Confused as to how this Barolo even competes with other Barolos. The only thing good about this experience is that we now only have one bottle left...
Nose: Raspberry. Sour cherry. Nutmeg. Violet. Medium minus intensity.
Palate: Tart cherry. Raspberry. Cinnamon. Umami. Strawberry. High acidity. High tannins. Medium plus body. Medium flavour intensity. Medium conplexity. Medium finish.
Decanted one hour. Great now with decanting, but I recommend keeping this for 5-10 years.

Garnet in color. Aromas of fresh cranberries, sour cherries, with a floral component. Comes off almost medicinal. Medium body with great acidity. Flavors of underripe fruit, cedar, and earth. Medium+f finish

On the pretty and feminine side of Barolo, similar to a hefty Barbaresco. Otherwise, excellent typicity of variety and place, appealing textures, superb balance, evocative finish.
Overall, a bit of an enigma. Nothing suggested this was locked down, but wines in this style tend to add considerable depth as the evolve. Improvement certainly seems possible. Costco has this for $50...which makes it very good QPR.

Medium bright red garnet in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & cranberries with overtones of floral notes of roses & earthy/dusty notes, minerals, some spice notes, a hint of anise & herbs & a hint of cedar. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe red fruit flavors of cherries, strawberries & cranberries with herbs, minerals & spices. Lingering finish. Drinks well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging at which time it may rate a higher score.

A Costco buy. Very deserving of the $40 price.
Color. Pale translucent red
Nose. Cherry bubblegum, pepper, sweet red licorice, candy red hots, a touch of cocoa.
Palate. Smooth. No tannins. Crisp but balanced acidity. Cherry juice, cocoa. Very yummy.

낙엽향, 붉은 과실향, 가죽향 등
중상 산도, 탄닌감 중상.
향이 좋지만 팔렛이 비어 있는 느낌이라 아쉬움.
데일리로 마시기엔 가성비가 좋지 않은듯.

Wonderful wine of some complexity. Sweet around the edges transforms into a smooth blended mid palate and a fine finish.

가격대성능비 좋은 바롤로
단정하고 차분하다
뽕따도 좋지만 오픈후 3시간 정도부터 복합적인 향이 피어남
산도 탄닌 벨런스도 굿

Great on the nose, but very poor on the palate. Would easily mistake it for a $15 bottle.
